Chapter 16
He finished what he was doing and then looked at me with a smirk; that cruel one he’d been throwing my way all night.
“It’s time,” he said with a smile and began approaching me where I was sitting on the floor.
I began crawling back, hitting the door, and trying to wish to open the door as though I actually had magical abilities.
‘Moon goddess, please save me, send me my wolf back, please,” I prayed in my mind over and over as the enforcer got to where I was and grabbed my upper
arm.
“Stop that nonsense, wolfie; there’s nowhere to run to now. You might as well force yourself to enjoy it, hm?”
I shook my head, trying to take off his hand as he dragged me to his room.
He was so calm about what he was about to do that it freaked me out.
But before he could get through the door of his room, we heard a loud knock on the door, louder than the TV noise.
Maybe someone wanted to tell him to turn it down.
He sighed and pushed me into the room and locked the door behind me.
I wished I could jump down the window even if it was to my death, but there was an iron barrier on it, and I was not small enough to pass through it.
I looked around the room for anything I could defend myself with and then I found that iron thing I saw with the guards when I was released.
I picked it up and looked at it, trying to figure out how to get it to work
But it seemed like it was just plain iron, bland.
Suddenly, the door opened, and the enforcer walked in first, followed by the Prince, who was shocked to see me, and then his eyes widened when he saw the weapon in my hand.
“What’s happening here?” he demanded, looking between me and the Vampire.
And right as I expected, he opened his mouth and lied through his crooked teeth.
“I’d just patched her right up before you knocked my Prince, I even turned up the volume of my TV so people wouldn’t hear her scream as I popped back that shoulder of hers and now she’s there trying to kill me!”
I shook my head, frustrated with the sparks of pain that hit me every time I tried to speak.
“Wait, why isn’t she saying anything?” The Prince asked, noticing my struggle.
“It was why I pitied her, Sebastian was told to cut out her tongue but decided to use ten rope instead. It won’t heal as quickly as her tongue would grow back,” the enforcer explained, making me feel a shiver of cold.
It’s been a long while since I felt that.
“Alright girl, let’s not make any rash decisions, hm? Drop the weapon, and we’ll let you go to bed, and you can resume your job back in my wing tomorrow morning, okay?”
“My Prince is that even safe? She’s dangerous and could kill you if you are not careful. Let me keep an eye on her down here until I’m sure of her true character,” the enforcer said, a wicked glint in his eyes that only I could understand since he’d been sending it my way for a while.

Chapter 16
“Hmm,” the Prince hummed, thinking about it. “You have a point. Reed thinks she’s a witch,” he said, chuckling at the last part, dashing my hopes of being
saved.
I had the urge to look around and finally found a paper and pen on his work table on the edge of the window.
Then I quickly waved my hand to get his attention.
“Oh, you want to tell me something? I didn’t even know she could write,” he said and walked closer to the table as
I began writing.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw the enforcer make a sign to me.
He was going to kill me.
