Chapter 8
Tiffany suddenly stood up, crying out in short
“How did you get here
Caden Drayton clenched his fists, grinding his teeth, then slapped Tiffany hand across the face
“Yeah, how the fuck did I get here? Wasn’t it your great law firm that called me to come sign some bullshit agreement?”
“I thought we could end this marriage peacefully, and having your lawyer there would give you more protection.”
“But what the hell are you doing? Huh? Look me in the eye and tell me
“Thank God I came! If I hadn’t shown up, I would’ve missed this shit show and paid this whore for nothing?”
My office was right across the hall, so I was first on the scene
Other colleagues rushed over when they heard the commotion, quickly crowding around Samuel’s office.
Samuel’s face was absolutely livid
He stood up with a stern expression:
“Watch your language. This is a law firm, not a place for you to cause trouble.”
“If you keep making false accusations, I’ll sue you for defamation.”
Tiffany immediately gained confidence.
She lifted her chin and said coldly:
“Caden, not everyone is a cheating, marriage–betraying piece of trash like you!”
“You’re so filthy that even your heart is dirty! Everything you see looks dirty to you!”
“Mr. Carter was just doing his job, and I was tired so I lay down for a bit. How dare you make such vicious accusations?”
Colleagues started murmuring:
“Yeah, Mr. and Mrs. Carter are so devoted to each other, and Mrs. Carter’s office is right across the hall. How could he possibly do something like that?”
“I think so. Having an affair right under his wife’s nose? What man would have that kind of nerve?”
“Besides, a lawyer screwing his client? If that got out, his career would be over. No way that’s happening.”
Caden looked at me suspiciously: “You’re his wife?”
I nodded.
“We’ve been married for three years. He’s always been a good husband.”
“And the way you came in here making a scene today has seriously damaged our firm’s reputation.”

Chapter 8
“I want you to publicly apologize to my husband and our firm once the facts are clear.”
Samuel glanced up at me briefly, then quickly looked away.
Caden asked: “How to uncover the truth?”
An eager colleague immediately chimed in: “Our law firm is a legitimate establishment with complete surveillance coverage.”
Samuel’s face suddenly changed, and he said in a trembling voice:
“When did you install surveillance?”
I smiled warmly at him, “Not too long ago, the firm updated its equipment. Didn’t I mention it to you?”
He froze completely, his face turning pale inch by inch.
“No one told me. Why would we suddenly install surveillance?”
I chuckled.
“Industry reform. Everything has to be compliant and transparent now, so we installed them everywhere.”
“Guess I forgot to tell you. But it works out perfectly–now we can pull up the footage to prove your innocence.”
A helpful colleague had already brought over a USB drive: “I copied all the surveillance footage from Mr. Carter’s office!”
I have to say, these high–budget surveillance cameras were excellent.
Not only was the image quality crystal clear, but they could even identify faces and filter video records by specific people.
From the very first day Tiffany appeared at the law firm.
To today, with her legs casually draped over the couch.
Everything was laid out chronologically, clear as day.
In the footage, Tiffany walked in wearing that rose–red slip dress, swaying gracefully.
When she saw Samuel, she immediately started tearing up, crying about how miserable her marriage was, looking all pitiful and
heartbroken.
Then she threw herself into Samuel’s arms.
Samuel didn’t respond, but he didn’t push her away either.
He let that vivid rose–red color wrap tightly around him.
Oh, I remembered now.
That lingering perfume smell–Samuel’s explanation was that Tiffany’s heel had broken and he’d just given her a hand.
