Chapter 2
I drove home in a daze.
That night, I dreamed about Justin when he was 20. He was so genuine and fearless at that time.
He used to ride his bike all over the place just to find the cake I was craving. After every tutoring session, he’d show up with roses.

When my father found out we were together, he tried to split us apart. “He has no money and status. How could he ever make you happy?”
”
But I was head over heels for Justin. I dropped to my knees in front of my father and said, “He’s not poor, Dad. He loves me.”
My father finally gave in.

Once we got married, Justin stayed true to his word and loved me deeply.
Then Eliza showed up, and everything fell apart.
After going through seven divorces, whatever love we had was gone.

The next morning, I went to the courthouse. Just like the last seven times, Justin brought Eliza along.
Holding our marriage certificate, I said, “Let’s get this over with.”
Justin glanced at me, guilt flashing in his eyes.
“I’m sorry, Lillian.
“I swear this is the last time. We’ll remarry soon and never divorce again.
“We’ll live a good life.”
I just wanted to laugh when I heard his fake words.
I didn’t say a word and walked into the courthouse calmly.
About ten minutes later, I walked out holding my eighth divorce certificate.
Just then, a blinding light hit me, and I was barely able to open my eyes.
A car slammed into me.
I stood frozen, staring at Eliza in the driver’s seat. My mind went blank.
“Ah!” My skinny body flew back a few meters away, hitting the ground and rolling a few times. Pain shot through

Chapter 2
Right before I blacked out, I saw Justin running straight to Eliza-totally ignoring me.
When I came to, I was in a hospital bed. The bright white ceiling hurt my eyes, and my chest felt like it was being crushed. Breathing was rough.
I heard voices coming from outside the ward.
“Mr. Harrison, I’ve already taken action against Armstrong Pharmaceuticals as you asked.” His subordinate paused before asking, “Aren’t you worried Mrs. Harrison might hate you once she finds out?”
Justin sneered.
“So what? They bring it upon themselves.
“My parents agreed to those drug tests just so I could afford school. They didn’t know Armstrong Pharmaceuticals didn’t even have a qualification certificate back then.
“Those fake meds ruined their lives. They suffered until the end!”
“But the doctor said Mrs. Harrison was carrying your baby. She’s had a termination surgery now.”
Justin’s voice turned ice-cold.
“It doesn’t matter. That kid never should’ve existed anyway.”
I couldn’t help but groan in pain.
The voices outside went silent. Then, Justin came in. He looked at me like he felt sorry for me. “Lillian, how are you feeling? Are you okay?”
I looked down, saying nothing.
“The doctor told me you were expecting, but the accident took the baby.” He looked at me with guilt. “It’s alright, Lil- lian. Even without the baby, I still love you the most.”
I shoved him away.
“You love me the most? Then prove it. Get justice for me. Put the driver who hit me behind bars.
“Can you do that?”
