Chapter 9
The delivery room instantly descended into chaos. I mustered the courage to glance inside.
That single look nearly made me vomit on the spot.
The once clean and tidy delivery room now had blood covering the floor, with a nauseating stench of gore filling the air.
Allison lay motionless on the hospital bed.
Her abdomen had been torn open with a massive wound, and pink creatures were continuously crawling out of it.
Looking closer, they were actually newborn piglets!
Allison lay there barely breathing, weakly mumbling: “My baby… my child…”
The investigating police officers who witnessed this scene also panicked instantly.
Even those who normally didn’t believe in superstitions couldn’t help but scream in terror at this absurd sight.
Allison’s lie about carrying Myles‘ child was now completely exposed.
Myles watched the pink piglets continuously crawling out of the hospital room, his stomach churning, but he still held me tightly in his arms.
He said: “Nathalia, we are innocent. I truly never had relations with anyone else.”
I gently stroked his head, comforting his emotions.
The police quickly took the dying Allison away for investigation.
During interrogation, she finally couldn’t withstand the pressure and revealed the entire truth.
It turned out she had long been jealous that someone like me—a country woman with neither knowledge nor background–could marry Myles and be envied by everyone.
So she secretly went up the mountain to find the evil deity who ́governed marriages, making a deal to steal away the marriage fate that originally belonged to me, using my family’s lives as
payment.
This was the real reason my family was destroyed in my previous life.
Even if my parents and I hadn’t committed suicide, we would have eventually died in various bizarre ways.
But she never expected that I would be reborn.
Heaven gave me a chance to start over, allowing me to reverse my previous life’s tragic fate.
After rebirth, I immediately married a pig.
Allison’s dream fiancé ultimately became a fat pig.
Unwilling to accept her ruined plan, she made another deal with the evil deity to make herself pregnant.
This time, the price she paid was her own life.
The item Daisy gave me had been secretly slipped into Allison’s undergarments shortly after coming down the mountain.
The illusion in her belly lost its concealment because of this, exposing its true form prematurely.
Now all her schemes had failed, and her life had reached its end.
She died just two days after being taken away by the police.
Ridiculously, even until her death, she kept mumbling that Myles was her husband.
Hearing news of her death, I finally felt completely relieved, and the dark cloud that had been hanging over my head finally lifted.
Everything was now behind us, and I would live a good life with Myles.
From now on, only beautiful things awaited me in life.
The End.
