Another Christmas had passed. I had finally untangled the complex relationships within Torres Group and gained complete control of the entire corporation.
During this Christmas period, Torres Group maintained steady growth with a 20% increase in revenue, leaving everyone in the company satisfied.
At this point, Adrian had no remaining value to me.
On a warm afternoon filled with gentle energy, I entered his room and whispered softly in his ear, “Adrian, have you enjoyed this Christmas?”
His eyes remained tightly shut, unable to open. Only the slow movement of his pupils beneath his eyelids indicated he was still alive.

That afternoon, I made a painful decision–I instructed the doctors to discontinue Adrian’s treatment.
