Chapter 68
I had never been sent to the principal’s office before and here I was, less than seven months until I graduated, sitting outside their office while Mrs Bradley explained to our principal what she had seen.
The tension was thick and heavy as Noah, Kyle and I sat in seats away from each other, waiting to be called. Arrangements had already been made for calls to Noah’s and Kyle’s parents to be put in to make them aware of the incident. It had been decided that no calls to guardians were necessary as currently I didn’t appear to be directly involved.
They couldn’t be more wrong if they tried.
After what felt like eternity, the office door opened and Mrs Bradley stepped out followed by the principal. Principal Mathers‘ eyes jumped from each of us, no doubt assessing the scene before him. I could feel the disappointment burning me from his gaze.
“Miss Ramirez.” Principal Mathers finally spoke up. “My office please.”
I swallowed hard and forced myself from my seat, dragging my backpack with me. The st
silence followed us, my head hung, eyes focused on the floor. I heard the office door open
behind Mathers and Mrs Bradley but I kept my eyes on my hands as I sat in a seat in front of
the principal’s desk.
“Now, Miss Ramirez,” Mathers started once he was in his seat. “Do you know what the incident
between you classmates was all about?”
I nodded. D
“Care to elaborate?” 2
The words seemed to get stuck in my mouth for a moment. This had gone too far. I never wanted Kyle to get in trouble because of me. I had just wanted to get through my last year of high school and put this place and Noah Winters behind me. Yet Noah had seemingly crossed a line from school bullying to a vendetta against me and I had no idea why. The photos, the night of the party were just too much to ignore. Hell, when he tried to strangle me to death in the library had been too far but I had hoped that Kyle’s threat had done something. It seemed like it had as well. Sure, Noah/would appear like a spider on occasion to scare me but he seemed to have calmed down enough that he had become someone I barely thought about. He was slowly slipping out of my life. Or so I thought,
“Noah’s been bullying me.” I finally spoke, my voice hoarse. I cleared my throat and took a deep breath. “He’s been threatening me with phone messages and today he sent me photos of

- me. Some are from inside my home and some were from when I was drugged at the party.”
“That’s quite a serious allegation, Miss Ramirez.” Mathers points out, his thick eyebrows raising at the gravity of the situation.”
“I know.” I nodded, my body trembling as if I’m freezing cold. “But it’s true. I have the messages on my phone and there must be a camera in my room. I think he was also behind my drink
being spiked.”
“Can we see the photos?” He asked.
I nodded and pulled my phone from my bag only to hesitate. There were photos of me nude on
there.
“Could I just show them to Mrs Bradley?” I asked as my cheeks flamed. “Some of the photos are… embarrassing.”
I was grateful I didn’t need to say anymore. Handing the phone to Mrs Bradley with the messages ready to go. She was silent as she scrolled and yet her face spoke volumes darkened with shock and outrage with each picture and message. I waited with bait for her to say something, for someone to finally put a stop to this.
“What has got to do with the fight between Mr Anderson and Mr Winters?” Mrs Bradley asked as she handed the phone back to me.
I explained what happened leading up to the fight including the things Noah had said to me. Each word I spoke lifted the weight in me just a little more and it felt like I could breathe. I also told them about the teddy bears, the hitting and the skirmish in the library. I told them everything, not caring if it all sounded so unrealistic. I just had to let it all out, unable to hold it in any longer. Principal Mathers and Mrs Bradley were silent the whole time, letting me spew my story out like a holy confession. No doubt when they woke up this morning they weren’t expecting this. Their shock sat clearly on their features the whole time.
