We spent nearly two hours going over the ideas Tammy had come up with. I could tell she was enthusiastic about this but whether it was because one of her best friends was coming home or because she loved planning parties, I couldn’t tell. She had already decided Aiden’s bar would be the venue which technically covered most of the issues in terms of furniture, food, drinks and even music. Tammy mentioned that there might be a live music licence soon and wanted to get another friend’s band to play.
“Decorations and a banner are a must, don’t you think?” Tammy asked as she scrolled through Pinterest for inspiration. “Oh and I’ll sort out the invites.”
“I think you have sorted out most of it.” I giggled, her enthusiasm infectious as always.
“I know, I get way ahead of myself on these things.” She also giggled and gave a sheepish smile. “If I sort out the invites and music, did you want to do decorations and sweet talk Aiden about maybe letting us do a buffet? Oh we could get a cake too!”
“Aiden? Um…sure…” I stammered, my cheeks heating up as I felt guilt creep in. “I mean hardly see him…”
Tammy burst out laughing, shaking her fiery curls as she shook her head at me. “El, chill. Î know about you and Aiden. He told me and I’m more than fine with it. You two make a cute
couple.”
“Couple?” I spluttered. “I mean…I guess.”
Had Aiden said we were a couple? Or was Tammy assuming
“Oh you’re too cute!” Tammy smiled. “Look, it might not seem him because he can be a real
jackass but Aiden is a real prince charming. His actions often speak louder than his words. If you feel like things are going too fast, just say. He will totally respect your wishes.”
I blushed harder at this and shifted awkwardly. “Thanks for the advice.” I muttered shyly.
“Okay, I had better go.” Tammy sighed, forcing herself from her seat. “I promised my boss I’d drop by to work out what appointments I can take.”
“Sure thing.” I smiled, pushing myself up as well to see her out. “And let me know when you
can hang out again.”
“Of course!” Tammy grinned and gave me a quick hug before disappearing out the door.

Chapter 63
I felt a weight lift from me now that I had seen Tammy and she was okay, I was surprised Aiden had told her about us but at the same time it helped. I liked Tammy and while I had been a bit standoffish with her when we first met, I actually liked having her around. Her confidence, kindness and positivity drew people in. No wonder Liam was friends with her.
Sighing, I grabbed my new phone to start setting it up now it was charged. Thankfully my sim card hadn’t been damaged when I was hit by the car so I just needed to pop that in. Within seconds I was ready to go and sent Kyle and Liam messages to say hi. I was even surprised to see a group chat invite from Jesse. It turns out Kyle let them know I was okay.
Setting the phone back down, I went back to making a sandwich for dinner which I had
abandoned earlier. Just as I was finishing up, my message notification sounded. I picked the phone and opened up my messages, frowning when I saw a message from an unknown sender.
*Unknown: You should be more careful with your drink.
Unknown: Next time, you won’t get away.
Unknown: I’ll be seeing you soon, Ellie*
I frowned, feeling anger simmer in my veins but in the background of my mind a torrent of dread was building. Clearly this person was referring to the night of the party which made me wonder if they had been the one behind it or knew who was. If that was the case then how did they have my number? Nobody from my school or who knew me outside of Kyle and the others had been at the party. Right? Maybe it was someone pulling a prank. Someone from school must have heard about what happened to me by now and maybe they thought it would be funny to try and scare me.

Clenching my jaw in annoyance, I decided enough was enough. This asshole needed to do one.
Me: You must be a real pathetic loser if you think spiking a girl’s drink and then mocking her is funny. You don’t scare me so do everyone à favour and go to hell.
Feeling a bit better, I let out a calming breath and put my phone on silent. If someone replied then I wasn’t going to worry about it tonight, hopefully they got the hint though and left me
alone.
Only, things were about to get much worse.
