Chapter 21

Third-Person POV

“Simon, do you even hear yourself?” Wilona cried, her voice trembling. “The pup growing inside me is yours-your own blood. And you’re telling me to get rid of it?”

Alpha Simon’s expression was vacant, his golden eyes cold and unreadable. His entire

presence radiated detachment, like a machine stripped of feeling.

“To be exact,” he said flatly, “it’s not even a pup yet. You’re barely a month along. It’s just a clump of cells.”

His voice was cruel in its precision.

Wilona recoiled, as if struck. “Cells?” she

repeated, stunned. “That’s your pup! How can you say that?”

“Pup? What pup?”

Right then, Alpha Simon’s friends walked

into the hospital room. The tense air hit them immediately. One look at Wilona’s tear-streaked face told them everything.

“Wait, Simon-did you get Wilona pregnant?”

one of them asked in disbelief.

Wilona seized the moment and grabbed

a man’s arm, dropping to her knees in desperation.

“Help me,” she sobbed, her shoulders

trembling. “Please help me.”

“Don’t kneel! Sis-in-law, please—get up!”

“Simon wants to terminate our pup!” she

wailed. “Please… talk some sense into him!”

The room fell into stunned silence.

One of the men turned to Alpha Simon. “Are you insane? Judy’s married. Now Wilona’s carrying your heir. What are you doing?”

“You always said you wanted pups,” another chimed in. “And your grandfather’s been waiting for a grandpup for years.”

Simon’s voice cut through the room like a

blade.

“I wanted a pup with Judy. Not with her.”

A heavy silence followed. His words were like ice water poured over everyone.

“If you’re really my friends,” he added coldly, “stay out of this.”

The packmates exchanged glances. They pitied Wilona, yes-but they also knew Alpha Simon. Deep down, there had never been room in

his heart for anyone but Judy. Even if he’d betrayed her, she was still the one he wanted to spend his life with.

Wilona’s pregnancy changed nothing. It was a complication, not a miracle.

Understanding that, the others stepped back.

“Alright. Get some rest, Simon. We’ll give you

space.”

As they turned to leave, Wilona panicked. She

made a break for the door, but two of the men

moved to block her path.

“Miss Wilona,” one of them said gently, “please

come with us.”

“No! I won’t!” she shouted, shaking her head violently. Her body trembled from head to toe.

She turned back to Simon, eyes wide with fear

and betrayal. “Please,” she begged. “Let me keep the pup. I swear-I’ll disappear with it. You’ll never see me again. Just… don’t make me do this.”

Alpha Simon’s gaze was hard as stone.

“Take her to the medical wing,” he ordered. “End the pregnancy.”

That single command shattered Wilona.

Her legs gave out, and she crumpled to the cold floor, sobs wracking her body. But Simon never flinched.

Two pack warriors stepped forward and quietly lifted her up.

Within minutes, Wilona was escorted to the private surgical wing.

From Alpha Simon’s hospital room to the

operating table, less than thirty minutes had passed.

She had only known about the pup for one

hour.

Now it was being taken from her.

Lying on the cold table, Wilona fought weakly against the nurses trying to prep her for

surgery.

“I want to see Simon! Please, let me see him

one last time!” she cried, her voice cracking.

One of the doctors, his heart aching a little,

tried to calm her.

“Miss Wilona… you’re still young. There will be other chances-other pups.”

But the words didn’t reach her. As the

anesthesia coursed through her veins,

5/6

everything began to blur.
