Series1–Chapter 1
Series1–Chapter 1
At the pack registry office, ready to complete our mating bond ceremony, Willa–Callahan’s adopted sister and a former rogue wolf his father took in for her rare healing abilities–sent him a pregnancy test photo.
He didn’t even hesitate–just left me standing there and rushed off to bring her home.
Within hours, Willa posted intimate photos of them together on Wolfgram. The background? Our bedroom.
Then Callahan texted me:
“I got wasted at the Alpha Victory Banquet that night. Willa’s pregnant, and she needs me to take care of her.”
“She was gonna hide it from me and raise the kid alone, but she’s so young and has this bright future ahead of her as a cardiac surgeon… I can’t mess that up for her. And I can’t just abandon an innocent baby.”
“You’ve been dying to have kids, right? Once she gives birth, I’ll send her to the European territories to finish her medical training. You can raise the child–it’ll only know you as mom.”
When I didn’t respond, he added:
“Look, we’ll have to postpone the mating ceremony until after Willa has the baby.”
I stared at my phone, laughing so hard my eyes started watering.
Did he seriously think Olivia North–sole heir to the Norvinda Pack fortune and the only female Alpha successor among the three major Northern Territory packs–was that desperate for him?
I speed–dialed Ethan, the Alpha King of Northen Territory:
“Want to get mated today?”
He was at the airport, about to board a flight to the European territories for the Alpha Alliance Summit, when my call dragged him to the pack registry office.
Remembering how he was grinding his teeth earlier, I felt a twinge of guilt.
“Olivia, what the hell did I do to deserve this? I’ve been chasing your stubborn ass for eight years without getting anywhere, and now you suddenly want to complete our mating bond?”
I glanced at the clock, irritation creeping into my voice:
“They’re closing soon. Are we doing this or not?”
He immediately backed down, though I caught the fond exasperation in his tone:
“Damn right we are. I’ve got my documents, rescheduled the summit, even called my parents. No way I’m missing this chance.”

When I didn’t respond to his texts, Callahan finally called.
His voice carried a hint of desperation:
“Olivia, don’t overthink this. You’re the only one in my heart. What I feel for Willa is just… appreciation for her healing abilities. That night at the Alpha Victory Banquet was truly an accident.”
“Sure, I get it,” my voice was eerily calm. “Alphas will be Alphas, right?”
Silence stretched for several seconds before I heard him take a deep breath.
“Where are you? I’ll have Marcus pick you up. Willa’s having terrible morning sickness, and I really can’t leave her…”
I cut him off. “Don’t bother.”
His tone turned ice–cold:
“Olivia, are you seriously throwing a tantrum right now? I’ve explained everything. Once Willa has the pup, she’ll leave for the European territories. What more do you want from me?”
My chest tightened as I unconsciously gripped the ancient mating scroll in my hand, forcing my voice to stay steady.
“Callahan, we’re done.”
He paused, then let out a bitter laugh.
*After all these years, you know exactly how I’ve treated you. Yeah, I screwed up, but what Alpha doesn’t? I’m trying to make it right. Why are you being so damn unreasonable?”
I pressed my lips together, saying nothing.
When my silence stretched on, his patience finally snapped: “Fine! Have it your way! We’re done! You’ll come crawling back to me within the hour!”
The line went dead with a harsh beep.
I called a cab and headed back to what used to be our home.
Not to find him—just to pack my things and leave.
When I pushed open the door, Callahan was wearing an apron, the dining table laden with carefully prepared dishes.
He and Willa sat across from each other, chatting and laughing over their meal.
He gently served her food, even feeding her with his own hands.
That tender expression–I’d foolishly believed it was mine alone.
I remembered how he used to embrace me from behind when I cooked, whispering in my ear: “Thank you for taking care of me, baby.”

Series1–Chapter 1
It seemed romantic, but in five years, he’d never even poured me a glass of water.
As Alpha of the Thunder Thorne Pack–renowned throughout the Northern Territory for their medical expertise–he always said: “These hands perform surgery on our pack members. I have to protect them at all costs.”
Even holding my hand, he was cautious and restrained.
Yet here he was, breaking his own rules to cook for Willa.
When Callahan saw me, he smirked with an “I knew it” expression.
Willa greeted me warmly: “Olivia! You’re back! Want to join us for dinner?”
I walked past her silently, heading straight for the bedroom.
“Stop right there!” Callahan shot up, his face dark with rage. “Willa’s talking to you. Show some basic respect and answer her. Don’t you have any manners?”
I slowly turned around, forcing a cold smile:
“How exactly should I respond? Thank her for eagerly bearing my mate’s child so I can become a mother without the hassle? Or should I slap her and call her a homewrecking bitch who needs to get out of my house?”
“You-!” Callahan’s eyes flashed with Alpha fury.
“Ugh…”
Willa suddenly covered her mouth, dry–heaving as tears sprang to her eyes.
Callahan panicked:
“Willa, what’s wrong? Are you feeling sick?”
“I’m okay, Callahan…”
She clutched his sleeve with trembling hands while tears streamed down her face as she looked at me.
“Olivia, this is all my fault. I don’t want to stay in your home either, but I have nowhere else to go. I–I’ll leave the moment the pup is born. I won’t disturb you and Callahan anymore.”
She suddenly touched her belly, sobbing:
“Baby, I’m sorry. Mommy doesn’t want to abandon you, but I did something wrong and have to face the consequences… I’m so
sorry…”
She began retching violently again, collapsing into Callahan’s arms.
Callahan looked at me with absolute disgust, as if I’d committed some heinous crime.
“Happy now?”
I scoffed and walked away.
