Chapter 94 Stop Pushing Ginny
Lucky Draw
All Ginny had done was speak up for herself–one fair sentence. Yet in Mrs. Wheeler’s mouth, it became an accusation that she was trying to drive Melody to her death.
But just a moment ago, when Chandler was pressuring her to give up her uterus for Melody, where had Mrs. Wheeler been? Why hadn’t she stepped forward then to say they wouldn’t press charges?
So, when things benefited them, they all reached for it. But the moment there was a consequence, they were quick to draw the line?
What kind of logic was that? And why should it always work in their favor?
Ginny was already angry. Now, hearing Mrs. Wheeler twist the facts so brazenly, her fingers clenched harder at the hem of her
shirt.
“I already said—if you believe Melody is innocent, then show me the evidence,” she said flatly. “If we’re just going to talk in circles, then let’s call the police. Let them help sort out the truth.
“Trying to manipulate the situation with dramatics and guilt–tripping won’t solve anything. If anything, it just makes you look guilty. Like you’re trying to cover up something.”

Her voice was steady, calm even, as she stared directly at Mrs. Wheeler.
The woman had been holding onto Chandler’s arm, ready to burst into tears again. But after hearing Ginny speak so directly, she was caught.
Speak again, and she looked desperate. Stay silent, and she looked cornered.
Chandler’s mother stepped in to smooth things over. “Ginny, no matter what you say, Melody ended up in the hospital because of you. Even if you feel wronged, can’t we at least wait until she’s better before arguing?”
“Mrs. Wheeler’s your elder. How can you speak to her like that? I know you’re upset with Chandler, but once Melody’s condition stabilizes, I’ll have him apologize to you properly…”
“That won’t be necessary,” Ginny cut in quietly. “Whatever he thinks of me… I honestly don’t care anymore.”
She may have cared before–cared deeply–but after everything, all the humiliation, all the heartbreak, she had nothing left to
feel.
Now, she just wanted justice.
She didn’t care who was older. Since when did being older give someone the right to bully others?

And being younger–did that mean she had to swallow false accusations and stay silent?
She refused. She wasn’t going to accept it.
“Chandler, give me the report you’re holding,” Ginny said.
He was still clutching the test results that had been used moments earlier to pressure her into giving her uterus to Melody. If Ryan’s documents were real, then the one in Chandler’s hands had to be fake.
And that report would be the key evidence that Melody had set her up.
Ginny stepped forward to take it.
But before she could, Mrs. Wheeler snatched it from Chandler’s hand and tucked it behind her, eyes flashing with suspicion. “What do you want with this? This report exists in the hospital’s system. Even if you rip this one up, we can still ask the doctor to print another.
“Bottom line is, you hurt Melody. Whether or not you apologize is one thing, but don’t expect to drag her name through the mud and get away with it.”
Mrs. Wheeler looked the part–every inch the anguished mother -and for those watching nearby, it worked. They looked at

But it was Melody who had lied, Melody who had started this. Why did having more people on their side suddenly make them right?
“You reminded me,” Ginny said coolly. “I’ll go get the official report from the attending physician right now and have it verified by a third–party expert. Then we’ll compare it to the one Ryan brought.”
She turned to Chandler, eyes sharp. “If your report turns out to be fake, I want a public apology from all of you. But if it’s mine that’s fake–if I’m the liar–then I’ll give Melody my uterus. Do you have the guts to make that deal?”
Chandler didn’t respond. His eyes flicked toward Mrs. Wheeler.
Melody was her daughter. That report came from her hands. The decision now belonged to her.
She hadn’t expected Ginny to turn things around this quickly. Had she known this flimsy document would become such critical evidence, she would’ve hidden it right after Chandler saw
- it.
But it was too late for that now. She needed to think fast–find a
way out.
She knew the truth. She knew Ginny’s report was real. And

under no circumstances could she allow it to be verified. But refusing outright would be suspicious.
Just as she was racking her brain for an excuse, her peripheral vision caught a glimpse of Chandler, and suddenly an idea struck her.
She turned toward him, and he happened to be looking back. He saw the flicker of panic in her eyes. The calculation.
Before he could figure out what it meant, Melody emerged from the room.
Pale and weak, she leaned against the wall, one hand pressed to her side as she slowly made her way out.
“Mom… Chandler… please, don’t make things harder for Ginny.”
Her voice was gentle, trembling.
“The baby is gone… that just means we weren’t meant to be. I’m heartbroken, yes. But didn’t you say life has to go on? And besides… Ginny is still Chandler’s wife. If I keep pushing, won’t it only hurt my relationship with Chandler?”
