dgar parks his car at the base of the mountain.
Vincent led Rowan on a hike up the hill.
At the entrance of the mausoleum, there are two rows of lush trees, trees and shrubs intertwined in a unique form,
which also looks like a mausoleum keeper.
In the wide and solemn square stands a majestic monument, towering into the clouds.
Vincent brought Rowan to stop in front of the monument and laid a wreath.
The air is silent.
Rowan is here for the first time and looks around curiously.
Vincent holds his tiny hand and walks toward the cemetery at the top of the mausoleum hill.
There sleep countless modern unsung heroes.
“Daddy, who are we really going to see?”
“To see a great hero.” Vincent looks down at him, his eyes heavy.
Rowan asked, “A big hero as awesome as Iron Man?”
“Iron Man is make–believe.” Vincent’s voice is low and solemn, “But every hero here, is real.”
“Oh!” Rowan seemed to understand, his big eyes still kept glancing around.
In front of a tombstone, Vincent stopped.
Black tombstone, no name, no surname.
Vincent squatted down and put the bouquet of flowers he brought in front of the tombstone.
He wiped the dust on the tombstone with his hand, his dark eyes gazing at the tombstone.
In the sad and heavy silence, he seemed to have said a thousand words.
Rowan stood beside his dad, looking at the tombstone and then at his dad.
Although he had a lot of questions, he didn’t think Dad was in a very good mood right now, so he kept his mouth shut wisely.

“Rowan.”
Vincent turned back to Rowan and reached out to touch his head, his voice warm and deep, “Kneel down and
kowtow.”
“Yes!”
Rowan obediently knelt in front of the tombstone, hands pressed against the ground, and kowtowed squarely.
After kowtowing, Rowan looked up at his dad, his tender and cute little face, innocent.
Vincent lifted him up and took his little hand in his big one, “Let’s go.”
“Daddy, doesn’t this big hero have a name?”
“He does.”
Rowan tilted his head and looked at him, “What’s it called?”
Vincent, however, didn’t answer.
The atmosphere was depressing and Rowan could sense his dad wasn’t too keen on talking about this big hero!
The road down the mountain was slow going.
The kid was curious and kept asking questions along the way.
But he learned his lesson this time, not to ask about the big hero, to ask about himself!
“Daddy, should we go look for mommy today?”
Vincent looked down at him, “Do you want to go?”
“I want to!” Rowan couldn’t wait, “Doris’s mom said that I was so bad to mom before, that she was sad and disappointed in me that she didn’t want to talk to me.”
“You did do wrong before and it’s only right that she’s disappointed and ignoring you.”
“Then I know I was wrong!”
Rowan beamed, “I’ll correct it, I’ll listen to mom from now on, and I’ll treat her even better than before! It’s just that mommy has moved out, and it’s so hard for me to see her now!”
“Daddy will take you to another place.” Vincent looked at him and said, “I’ll send you to your mom later.”
“Yeah!” Rowan laughed, “Daddy you’re the best!”

Vincent looked at Rowan’s purely happy little face and faintly hooked his lips.
Rowan can’t wait to go to Sophia.
“Daddy, are we going straight to find mommy?”
Vincent leaned his back against the back of the chair and raised his hand to pinch his brow, “Hmm.”
“Yeah!” Rowan said, “It’s Valentine’s Day and I haven’t bought flowers yet! Dad, will you take me to buy them first? I’m going to help Mommy pick the prettiest bouquet!”
Vincent rubbed his head, “Okay.”
While picking out the flowers, Rowan picks one for Doris too.
He hands Vincent the flower he wants to give Doris.
“Dad, this flower is for Doris’s mom, but we have to put it in the car first, don’t let mom see it, otherwise if mom knows that I bought it for Doris’s mom as well, she will be angry!”
At that, Vincent looked puzzled, “Why do you say that?”
