Alex, Lucas, and Lily sat attentively in their classroom, their focus unwavering at their teacher explained advanced mathematics concepts. While the nine children around them occasionally fidgeted or struggled with the material, the triplets diligently took notes, occasionally exchanging knowing glances wh they’d already mastered a concept being taught.
Outside the classroom window, two figures lurked, peeting through the glass with unconcealed curiosity.
‘There they are!” Sophia whispered excitedly, nudging her husband Marcus.
Her eyes scanned the classroom until they landed on the three children sitting in the front row. Even from a distance, she could see how they stood out among their classmates–not just in their attentiveness, but in their bearing. There was something undeniably different about them, a certain poise that children their age rarely possessed.

Sophia nodded, her gaze lingering on the children’s faces. “Yes, I can see that. The more I look at them, the more I see Adam in them–especially that one. She pointed discreetly at Alex, whose serious expression and focused demeanor mirrored his father’s.
Though she wouldn’t admit it aloud, Sophia was already thinking of them as her grandchildren. Something about the set of their shoulders, the intensity of their concentration–it all reminded her of Adam as a child. Particularly Alex, with that cool, analytical expression that was so characteristic of her son at that age.
Inside the classroom, Lucas suddenly stiffened, turning to his brother. “Alex, someone’s watching me,” he whispered, his voice tinged with unease.
Alex glanced up from his notebook, his sharp eyes immediately scanning the windows. His gaze locked with Sophia’s, and surprise flickered across his face.
“Grandma?” he whispered, just loud enough for his siblings to hear.
All three triplets turned toward the window in perfect synchronization. Sophia, caught in the act, offered a friendly smile and a small wave.
Without hesitation, Alex raised his hand. “Excuse me, Sir. Our grandmother is here. May we step outside for a moment?”
The teacher, accustomed to the triplets‘ exceptional manners and unusual maturity, nodded her permission.
Outside the classroom, Alex approached the elderly couple with measured steps, his siblings following close behind.
“Grandma, did you come looking for us?” he asked directly, his tone polite but guarded.
Sophia couldn’t help but be charmed by the children’s appearance up close. Their rosy cheeks, bright eyes, and perfect features made them look like little dolls–adorable beyond words. She felt an unexpected surge of affection.
“Yes, that’s right,‘ she said warmly. “You must be Alex, and you two are Lucas and Lily, correct?”
“Yes, Grandma,” Lucas and Lily replied in unison, their voices sweet and well–mannered.
Sophia’s heart melted a little more with each passing second. Looking at them now, she couldn’t deny the resemblance to Adam. It was like seeing three miniature versions of her son, each with their own unique expressions but unmistakably Haven in appearance.
‘Children, would you like to go out for a while? We could have some milkshakes and chat a bit. Would you like that?” Sophia offered, her voice gentler than usual.
Alex’s eyes narrowed slightly. “What would you like to talk about? We’re just children. What could you possibly want to discuss with
Sophia blinked, caught off guard by the directness of his question. “Oh, Alex, I don’t have any ulterior motives. I just want to spend some time with you all,
that’s all.”
Alex studied her face for a moment, his expression suggesting he was working through several calculations in his head. Then, unexpectedly, he asked, “Grandma, did our father come to see you?”

When permission was granted, Alex returned to Sophia’s side. Grandma, shall we go?*
At an upscale restaurant, Sophia enthusiastically ordered a variety of dishes. “Order anything you like, dears. Grandma’s treat today, okay?”
The three children sat quietly across from her, their expressions unreadable as they stared at her without blinking.
Alex, more convinced than ever that Sophia knew their identity but harbored doubts, decided to address the elephant in the room.
“Grandma, you know now that we’re your grandchildren, don’t you?” he asked directly.
Sophia hesitated before nodding. “Yes, Adam told me. He said you’re his children, but I don’t know much about what happened back then, so…
“So you don’t believe we’re really your grandchildren?” Alex finished for her, his voice steady.
Without warning, he plucked a strand of hair from his head and held it out to Sophia. Grandma, if you don’t believe us, you can take my hair for a DNA
test.”
Sophia carefully took the hair, wrapped it in a napkin, and tucked it into her designer handbag.
As their food arrived, Sophia encouraged them warmly, “Darlings, if you enjoy the food, please eat as much as you like.”
“Thank you, Grandma,” they replied politely before starting to eat.
Sophia couldn’t help but study them as they ate. The more she looked, the more convinced she became that these children were indeed related to Adam. Their mannerisms, their features–everything pointed to it. In her heart, she already knew a DNA test was unnecessary.

‘Why aren’t you attending a proper private preschool?” Marcus asked, genuinely curious.
Lucas looked up, his chubby cheeks full of food. “Because preschool lessons are too simple, Grandpa,” he explained in his childish voice. “My brother, sister, and I have already finished third–grade curriculum, but Mommy insists on proper education for us, so she enrolled us in this elite educational institute.”
Marcus’s eyebrows shot up. “You’ve completed third–grade material? At five years old?”
Lily nodded enthusiastically. “Yes! I can play three instruments already, and Alex is good at computer. Lucas solves math problems that even grown–ups find difficult!”
As she spoke, Lily picked up a delicate French macaron with her plump little hands and popped it into her cherry–like mouth. Her beautiful eyes crinkled with pleasure, her face radiating pure enjoyment.
Alex, who had barely touched his food, suddenly looked up at Sophia and Marcus with serious eyes.
‘Grandma, Grandpa, if you confirm we’re your grandchildren, will you accept our mother?”
Lucas and Lily immediately stopped eating, their attention fully focused on the adults‘ response. In their minds, their mother’s situation was far more important than any delicious food.
