Once they reached the mountain, Elianna stopped trailing behind them and headed off in a different direction.
Skylar had assumed Elianna would keep following them, but to her surprise, Elianna suddenly veered off.
Given Elianna’s usual tactics, she wouldn’t just follow them up the mountain without some scheme in mind.
A sense of unease crept over Skylar. ‘I need to be on guard against Elianna,‘ she thought to herself.
Skylar was lucky. She quickly found a whole bunch of wild mushrooms and even dug up a few medicinal herbs.
Only two tasks remained: gathering wild berries and chopping firewood.
Skylar was just about to discuss with Victor how to tackle the two tasks when a shrill cry for help suddenly pierced the air.
In a flash, Elianna came sprinting toward Skylar.
Skylar looked utterly bewildered. Before she could react, Elianna suddenly lunged and tackled her to the ground.
“Sorry, did I scare you?” Elianna apologized, tears still glistening in her eyes.
Skylar frowned, brushing the dirt and debris off her clothes. “Why were you running like that?” she asked.
“I just saw a snake. It scared the hell out of me.” Elianna blurted out.
Her voice quivered as she spoke. Clearly, she was terrified out of her wits.
Skylar remained silent.
Elianna wiped away her tears and apologized again, “My apologies for causing you trouble. I’ll be on my way
Elianna turned away, her eyes brimming with triumphant glee.
‘Skylar, let’s see if you make it down this mountain alive,‘ Elianna thought viciously.
Skylar watched her leave, not giving the incident a second thought/
But she caught a peculiar scent in the air, something herbal.

Skylar grew suspicious and was about to investigate the strange herbal scent when Victor suddenly rushed over and swept her into a protective roll on the ground.
The basket in her hands slipped and tumbled to the ground, scattering its contents everywhere.
Before Skylar could react, Victor yanked her up. “Run. Wild boar is coming.”
“Wild boar?” Skylar gasped.
She whirled around and saw a wild boar burst out from nowhere, charging toward them in a frenzied rage.
Victor sprang to his feet, grabbing Skylar’s hand/“Run,” he urged, pulling her along.
The ameraman was petrified and ran after them, but the heavy camera gear weighed him down. He simply couldn’t keep up.
Skylar saw this and immediately yelled, “Ditch the camera. It’s too heavy. You’ll never outrun it with that.”
The cameraman wanted to ditch it too, but he couldn’t afford to pay for the damages. His eyes were welling up with tears. “This equipment costs a

Skylar called out, “Just put it on my tab.”
With his worries gone, the cameraman didn’t hesitate. He tossed the camera aside and took off running.
Free of the camera, the cameraman was noticeably faster.
The viewers were shocked by the sudden turn of events.
[Oh, my gosh. There’s actually a wild boar and it’s so big. If that thing charges, will anyone survive?]
[Why didn’t the production team check the area first before letting the guests go up? If anything happens to Caden, you’re done for.]
[Praying for Caden.]
Some quick–witted viewers didn’t just stand by. They called the director and the police, urging them to send help right away.
Humans only had two legs, while wild boars had four. What was worse, this one was completely berserk, charging so fast.
The mountain path was rugged and uneven, with trees everywhere and thick undergrowth tripping them at every step.
After just a short run, the three of them were already out of breath.
Victor clutched the shovel, jaw set tight. He barked at Skylar and the cameraman, “Go. Run and get help.”
“How could we just leave you behind?” Skylar protested, refusing to go alone. That boar was way too big. There was no way himself.
