Chapter 59
Freya stayed in her room all day prepping for the competition, having the maid bring her meals.
She was hell–bent on crushing Skylar in this competition.
While working on her designs, Freya also had someone keeping tabs on Skylar, reporting back her every move.
Skylar hadn’t touched a single design draft. She just did herregular job every day, nothing more.
Freya was skeptical. Just another of Skylar’s tricks,‘ she thought.
She sneaked into Skylar’s room and rummaged through everything. Only after finding nothing but some rough sketches did she finally feel relieved.
Freya opened the door and nearly bumped right into Skylar, who was holding Adam’s hand.
Skylar fixed her with a cold stare and demanded, “What are you doing in my bedroom?”
Freya panicked for a moment but quickly composed herself. Forcing a calm smile, she said, “I left something in your room. I just came to look for it.”
Skylar wasn’t buying it. With mockery in her eyes, she glanced down at Freya’s empty hands. “Really?”
“I got it wrong. So what?” Freya snapped, turning to leave.
“Freya,” Skylar said, “you’d better not take anything that doesn’t belong to you and get yourself in trouble.”
Freya bit her lip and shot back, “What could you possibly have that I’d want? Everything in my room is a million times better than your junk.”
“Oh, I still remember what happened last time…” Skylar drawled, but before she could finish, Freya angrily cut her off.
“Shut up, Skylar. I’m your older sister. You show me no respect at all,” Freya snapped.
Skylar found her utterly ridiculous. She rolled her eyes at Freya. “Are we doing the ‘sisterly bonding‘ act now?”
Skylar twirled a lock of Freya’s hair around her finger. “Do you really think you’re worthy of that?”
Furious, Freya raised her hand to strike, but Skylar sensed it, grabbed her wrist, and violently flung it back.
Before Freya could steady herself, Skylar gripped her chin and forced her head up, their eyes locking.
With a cold smile, Skylar warned, “If you’re reckless enough to provoke me again, I’ll silence you permanently.”
Freya was trembling, her jaw clenched as she stubbornly refused to yield.
Adam folded his arms, putting on a grown–up air. “Aunt Freya, if you can’t speak properly, maybe you should shut your mouth. That way, people won’t find you so annoying.”
Freya’s eyes welled up with angry tears.
Getting bullied by Skylar was bad enough. Now even Adam was walking all over her.
But right now, she was completely at their mercy. There was nothing she could do.
Freya was so furious that she could barely hold back her tears.
Adam added salt to the wound. “Aunt Freya, how can someone your age cry like a baby over everything?”
He tilted his head mockingly. “What’s next? Running to Grandma and Grandpa to tattle?”

Chapter 59
He was a kid. Yet, his tongue was just as sharp as Skylar’s.
Freya was so furious she was seeing red. She just wanted to grab Adam and spank him.
Try as she might, Freya couldn’t break free from Skylar’s grip.
“Behave yourself and I’ll let you go. If you keep causing trouble, you’ll regret it.” Skylar took out a silver needle and pressed its cold tip against Freya’s warm neck.
With an icy smile, she added, “I always keep my word.”
Freya could feel the silver needle piercing her skin, a dull ache radiating from that spot.
“I know I was wrong,” Freya begged, her voice trembling. “Please, let me go.”
Skylar released Freya with a dismissive flick.
Freya shot her a furious glare. Skylar raised her hand, the silver needle in her grasp glinting coldly.
“You win this round.” Freya clutched her neck and fled back to her room.
Back in her room, Freya rushed straight to the mirror. A faint red mark stood out on her neck.
She flew into a rage, violently sweeping everything off her vanity table onto the floor.
