Skylar sat in the courtroom, watching as David was led away in handcuffs. “All those years of pent-up humiliation seemed to melt away in hun rich. With David locked up, next up is that demon, Zachary,” Skylar thought.
“With Zachary taken care of, Elianna will be next. I’ll personally put both of them in jail.” Skylar thought.
Zachary remained hospitalized for a solid week before finally recovering. During this time, he saw David get arrested, and every last cent the stone family had went to pay compensation. When that still wasn’t enough, they were forced to auction off anything of value. The Stone family was down and out
Zachary clenched his fists, eyes burning with fury. “Damn it! Who’s targeting us?” he growled. “They’d better pray I don’t catch them, or I’ll skin them alive.” He had no idea Skylar was behind all this. When he finally uncovered the truth, he was stunned.
Elianna couldn’t stand staying at home any longer, so she rushed to the hospital to discuss their next move with Zachary The moment she found out Skylar was targeting them, she immediately let out a cold, mocking laugh.
Elianna sneered, “Didn’t I tell you? She’s not the same pushover she used to be.”
Zachary curled his lips in disdain. “She’s nothing without the Lambert family and Yosef. What could she possibly do?”
Elianna agreed. She’d never believed Skylar was actually capable of anything.
Elianna sneered, “It’s not like Skylar is anything special. The real power lies with the Lambert family. As their privileged heiress, all she has to do is snap her fingers and hordes of people will fall over themselves to do her bidding.”
Without that privileged status, she’d be nothing but an insignificant pest. She would be easily crushed underfoot without a second thought. If she died, nobody would even care.
Elianna conceded, “True enough, but now that she’s got the Lambert family and Yosef backing her up, there’s really nothing we can do about her.”
“You can’t do anything because you’re a good–for–nothing, but I’m different,” Zachary sneered, looking down upon his sister Elianna with utter disdain.
Elianna snorted with biting sarcasm. “Oh sure, you’re the genius here. The only one who’s not a complete good–for–nothing.”
Zachary snapped, “Elianna, do I need to remind you what happens when you ignore my warnings?”
Elianna immediately shut her mouth, not daring to say another word.

Seeing her back down, Zachary sneered contemptuously, “Pathetic coward.”
Elianna gritted her teeth and took a deep breath. “Can’t beat him… Guess I’d better just put up with it for now.”
With David arrested and all their valuables auctioned off, the house was now just an empty shell. It didn’t even feel like home anymore. Elianna asked anxiously, “What are you going to do now?” Elianna couldn’t bear this downward spiral any longer. Her only hope now was Zachary.
Zachary was nothing if not resourceful. With him around, maybe, just maybe, the Stone family still had a shot at making a comeback.
Zachary lazily lifted his eyelids with a hint of disdain. “Since when is my business any of your concern?”
“Zachary, with Dad locked up, we’re all each other has left. If you won’t tell me your plan, how can I have your back?”
Zachary sneered, “A useless bitch like you wants to help me? Hah, you’d only screw things up!”
Elianna dug her nails deep into her palm, barely holding back her anger. “That arrogant bastard, stubborn as a mule. Nothing ever gets through to him. Fine, let’s see just how capable he really is.” she fumed inwardly.
Zachary shot her a contemptuous glance, “Get lost if you’ve got nothing better to do. Stop being such an eyesore,”
Chapter 299-
Ellanna stood up, snatched her bag with barely concealed anger, and forced a tight smile. Take care and get some rest Zachary (1 said, her voice tight with forced cheer.
Elianna turned on her heel, her polite facade vanishing instantly. “That arrogant bastard,” she seethed inwardly, her nails digging into her palas
As soon as Elianna left, Zachary sprang into action. He immediately grabbed his phone and made a call. Zachary said on the phone, “Long time na – Care to meet up? Sounds good, then. I’ll definitely be there.”
Zachary pocketed his phone, yanked out the IV needle, changed into his own clothes, and strode out of the ward.
