Chapter 246
Aimee, barely clinging to her last shred of sanity, choked out through her sobs, “Juelz, avenge me…” Her voice was laced
with venomous resentment.
Aimee seethed inwardly, “Everyone is staring at me, and some are even laughing at my misery. It’s all because of that masked witch–if it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be in this situation. Damn her! She deserves to die!” Aimee’s words were barely audible, reaching only Juelz, who stood close by.
He hugged Aimee tightly, preventing her from scratching herself, and said gently, “Don’t be afraid, sis. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”

Then, glaring at the crowd, he snapped, “How dare you to
defend her?”
Skylar retorted without a trace of fear, “The Castillo family is truly a unique group–do you even understand human language?” She sharply added, “We all know very well who’s bullying whom here. Aren’t you worried about facing consequences for spreading such lies?”
“Such a sharp tongue! You won’t back down until you hit rock bottom, will you? Don’t blame me for calling the cops on you.” Juelz sneered.
Skylar remained unfazed. Curling her fingers in a provocative gesture, she retorted, “Go ahead, let the police investigate. We’ll find out who’s telling the truth and who’s bullying whom,”
The onlookers, hearing both sides present their arguments, were unsure whom to believe and began whispering amongst themselves. “It’s a classic case; both have made their points. Who’s really at fault here?”
“Who knows? Let’s wait and see. Mr. Castillo is calling the police–they’ll handle the situation when they arrive,” another person added.
“Isn’t today meant to be a good day? Wouldn’t calling/the police ruin the celebration?” A young man said, “Miss Castillo is known for her good character–she would never act like this. But this masked woman was hiding her identity at a medical conference. Who knows what she wants?”
He intentionally directed the conversation toward Skylar, skillfully influencing the crowd’s perception and swaying public opinion against her. Juelz exchanged a glance with him; then, both deliberately looked away with casual indifference.
He continued sharply, “All of us here have made our mark in the medical field–the organizers sent us personal invitations.” He turned to Skylar and added, “But you? You don’t seem to be a recognized expert in our field. How did you even gain entry here?
“What’s your true intention? Don’t tell me you weren’t invited, felt humiliated, and crashed the event abotage it?” With just a few words, he revealed the entire story, portraying Skylar as the troublemaker,
“You should acknowledge your mistake and apologize to Miss Castillo, or you might find yourself facing serious consequences.” By now, the crowd had been thoroughly influenced by his words, and a ripple of murmurs passed through
them.
Someone in the crowd shouted, “Rhys Khan is right! What kind of normal person shows up at a banquet wearing a mask to

hide their identity? Unless they’re up to no good and afraid of being recognized later.”
“Exactly, I agree,” another voice chimed in.
“Who are you? If you have nothing to hide, remove the mask and show us your true face!” someone else challenged.
“She just hurt someone right in front of everyone–that’s intentional! We shouldn’t hold back. Let’s go confront her and find out what kind of troublemaker is stirring things up!” another person yelled.
Several individuals pushed through the crowd, advancing aggressively. Juelz’s lips curled slightly. ‘If you humiliate my sister, you’ll pay the price,‘ he thought.
Juelz quietly gave Aimee half an antidote pill and leaned in to whisper with an air of feigned concern, “Just hang in there for now, sis. We need to preserve the evidence.”
