Chapter 244
Juelz wanted to teach Skylar a lesson for Aimee, but today they needed to focus on networking with important peopli maz the medical field. If these guests saw them bullying someone, even silently, it could harm their reputation and ruin the
deal.
As much as Juelz cherished Aimee, he understood his limits and knew what was appropriate for each situation. He gently reassured her, saying, “There, there, be a good girl. I promise I’ll make her pay for this. Just hold back for now, okay?”
After much persuasion, Aimee reluctantly agreed, but she kept pouting and muttering, “Juelz, you promised you’d make her pay. Don’t forget, okay?” Only after Juelz repeatedly reassured her did Aimee finally let it go.
The host of the medical conference took the stage, delivered the opening remarks, and went through the usual formalities before inviting distinguished guests and sponsors to share their speeches. Skylar had never been particularly interested in such dull events. She sat in her seat, listlessly swirling her drink.
“Now, please welcome our sponsor, Mr. Campbell, to the stage to deliver his speech.” Startled, Skylar instinctively looked up–and it was indeed Yosef.

“There’s not much to say. I hope you all make the most of this exchange platform. Thank you.” With those few comments, Yosef stepped down from the stage.
After stepping off the stage, Yosef glanced back over his shoulder. ‘Why do I always feel like someone’s watching me?” he wondered. But when he turned, there was no one there. ‘Am I just imagining things?‘ he thought. Confused, he withdrew his gaze and faced forward again.
Aimee lowered her head, blushing. She touched her warm face and giggled, thinking, ‘I didn’t expect Mr. Campbell to be so attractive in person–so charming and dignified. His face is hard to resist.‘ She bit her lip, considering a bold idea as she
watched him walk away.
Skylar looked up and let out a soft sigh of relief. ‘I’m glad I ducked out of sight just in time–otherwise, Yosef might have seen me,‘ she thought. While she hadn’t hidden her medical skills from him, she wasn’t ready to reveal her other identity as Sue. ‘It’s best to keep my distance for now,’ she reminded herself.
Blending into the crowd to hide herself, she quietly moved further away from Yosef, ensuring she stayed out of sight. The crowd obstructed Skylar’s view, so she didn’t notice Aimee making her way over to Yosef.
As soon as Yosef found a moment of peace amid the crowd, Aimee hurried over to him. With a hint of youthful shyness, she adjusted her hair and said, “Hello, Mr. Campbell. I’m Aimee, the sister of Juelz, the president of Castillo Pharmaceuticals.”
Yosef remained silent. “Mr. Campbell…” Aimee, feeling completely overlooked, suddenly became awar of all the eyes on her. Overcome with humiliation, her face turned pale. “Why won’t you talk to me? Did I do something
g?”
Yosef shot her an icy glare and said coldly, “Even someone like you dares to approach me?” It was the first time Aimee had mustered the courage to approach someone, only to be met with such harsh rejection. Stunned as if struck by lightning and her face burning with shame, she fled, her eyes red from humiliation.
As Yosef engaged with eager collaborators, the loud noise gave Skylar a headache. To find some peace, she stepped out onto the balcony for fresh air. Just when she had started to enjoy the quiet, she heard a sob, and to her surprise, it was
