Chapter 210
Right now, Skylar only want two things. She wanted to build her own business empire, and to cure Adam’s illness so he could grow up healthy,
‘Dating? No thanks. Total time waster, and who needs the emotional baggage?‘ Skylar thought.
From the look in Skylar’s eyes, Brada could tell that romance was the furthest thing from her mind.
But it didn’t matter, he could wait. After all, a hunter knew best how to bide his time.
He said, “Skylar, please don’t feel pressured by my feelings for you. You’re free to ignore me and just carry on as usual.”
Brada didn’t want his affection to burden her. With a tender smile, he spoke softly, his words wrapping around her like a warm breeze.
“Mr. Fleur, I’m just not right for you,” Skylar sighed.
Brada pursed his lips stubbornly. “You won’t know unless you try.”
Seeing that persuasion was futile, Skylar played her trump card. “Brada, I’m married, and I have a five–year–old son, Adam.”
Brada was thunderstruck. “Wait, you’re married? And you have a kid?
“You look so young, I’d never guess you’re the mother of a five–year–old.”
Skylar let out a soft chuckle. “Thanks for the compliment, but that’s just the truth.”
Brada couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed, but he quickly perked up and said with a smile, “It’s alright.”
Brada thought, ‘I’ve made up my mind.
‘So what if she has a kid? So what if she’s married?
‘So what if I play a little dirty to get the woman I want? Finally found someone I like, I’m not letting her go.
‘If I can really win her over, that just proves the other man isn’t the right match for her.‘
Skylar was confused.
‘Seriously? How can he say ‘it’s alright‘?‘ Skylar thought in disbelief.
Brada continued stubbornly, “Marriage isn’t forever. You can always get divorced. I’m totally fine with you having a child. If we end up together, I promise I’ll love your child as my own.”
He thought, ‘Getting a kid for free? Now that’s a bonus, I couldn’t be happier!
‘Two for the price of one, I’m more than pleased with this arrangement.‘
Skylar just couldn’t follow his erratic train of thought.
Skylar thought to herself, ‘I knew people from his country were open–minded, but this? This is on a whole other level.‘
Skylar rubbed her temples. “Brada, cut it out already.”
“I’m not joking around, Ms. Lambert. I’m completely serious, I’m sincerely courting you.”
With unwavering determination in his eyes, Brada seized the moment of her hesitation and gently pressed the bouquet into her arms. He declared with a soft smile, “They say every romance begins with flowers.

Chapter 210
“1 specially picked out this bouquet of the reddest and freshest roses at the florist, arranged just for you, Skylar. Hope you like them.”
Afraid Skylar might call him back to return the bouquet, Brada made a quick exit before she could say a word.
Skylar stared at the bouquet in her arms with a troubled expression.
Skylar took the flowers to her office and dumped them on Sophie to deal with.
The little drama between Skylar and Brada downstairs had already spread like wildfire through the company’s main group chat.
Even Sophie had caught the juicy gossip about her boss.
She asked, “Ms. Lambert, what should I do with these flowers?”
Skylar was thoroughly distracted, her head full of Brada’s absurd remarks. She couldn’t be bothered with these trivial matters. “Do whatever you want with them,” she snapped.
Such a large bouquet of roses was too good to throw away, so Sophie carefully disassembled it, grabbed a few vases to rearrange the flowers, and placed one vase in Skylar’s office.
The rest were arranged in the meeting room and in other spots around the office that could use some brightening up.
Skylar didn’t even notice the fresh flowers in her office. Sitting at her desk, she shook off all the distracting thoughts and sharpened her focus on the
work at hand.
After work that evening, Skylar waited outside the office building for her driver.
