Eleanor couldn’t suppress a smirk as her scheme played out in her mind.
Bud rubbed his hands nervously, quietly slipped off his jacket, and crept toward Skylar, his eyes full of sinister intent.
Skylar heard the furtive rustling behind her and smirked.
‘Starting a fight right outside the police station? That’s just asking for trouble,‘ Skylar thought.
She needed to pick the perfect spot.
Skylar pretended not to notice their presence and casually turned left, all the while luring them exactly where she wanted.
Startled, Bud quickly stuffed the clothes away and froze in place, not daring to move.
Seeing that Skylar didn’t seem to notice, Bud signaled Eleanor to quietly follow her.
Seeing Skylar turn into a narrow alley, the mother and son exchanged triumphant grins, certain their opportunity had finally arrived.
They rushed after her, only to be met with a sudden punch to the face.
Bud and Eleanor staggered back from the impact, nearly losing their balance and crashing to the ground.
Skylar grabbed Bud and began pummeling him, each punch landing with brutal precision.
Skylar used just the right amount of force. Her blows were heavy, but she made sure not to leave any marks that a hospital exam could detect.
The alley echoed with Bud’s agonized screams.
Eleanor didn’t dare to step forward, terrified that Skylar might turn on her and give her the same treatment.
Eleanor stood by, fidgeting like a cat on a hot tin roof.
Eleanor could only scream from the sidelines, “You fucking bitch! Let my son go right now! If you hurt him, I’ll make sure you rot in jail!
“You bitch, stop right now! I’m warning you, I’ll call the cops! You better stop this instant!”
Skylar tossed the barely–conscious Bud to the ground and advanced on Eleanor with cold purpose.
Fear turned Eleanor’s legs to jelly, leaving her unable to run.
She collapsed to the ground, clutching her head. “Please, don’t hit me! I’m begging you, please… don’t…” she pleaded, her voice trembling with fear.
Skylar didn’t strike her. Instead, she pulled out her silver acupuncture needles, yanked Eleanor close, and immobilized her.
Skylar pulled out a few silver needles and swiftly jabbed them into Eleanor, pinning her in place.
Eleanor kept her eyes tightly shut, completely unaware of what Skylar was doing to her.
The slightest pain was amplified tenfold, and she shrieked uncontrollably, “It hurts so much! Help! Someone’s trying to kill me!”
The next instant, Eleanor collapsed limply to the ground, her voice completely gone, her condition eerily resembling a stroke,
Eleanor stared daggers at Skylar, producing only hoarse, guttural sounds from her throat.

Terror filled Eleanor’s eyes as she watched Skylar walk away. Helpless tears streamed down her face.
After dealing with them, Skylar’s driver arrived. She got into the car and headed home.
The moment she stepped through the door, Skylar demanded of the servant, “Where’s Freya?”
“She is playing chess with Mr. Lambert,” the servant reported respectfully.
“Please inform my dad that I need to speak with Freya. Ask him to let her come see me.”
The servant went upstairs to deliver the message.
While watching TV with Adam in the living room, Yana sensed something was amiss and quietly asked Victor to take Adam to the playroom.
Victor knew Skylar was back for a reckoning. He hurriedly scooped up Adam, wanting to make a quick exit, yet he couldn’t help but be eager to hear what was really going on.
Adam pouted, clearly not cooperating. “Uncle Victor, why can’t we just stay here and listen?”
Adam thought, ‘I want to know what’s really going on, too.
‘If Mom gets in trouble, I’ll stand up for her.‘

“Skylar, what’s wrong?” Yana immediately sensed something was off. Skylar would never call Freya by her full name unless something serious had happened.
