Chapter 204
Skylar effortlessly caught Bud’s hand and shoved him hard. “Not only are you brainless, but you’d even hit a woman? Utterly classless
With a shove from Skylar, Bud went sprawling on the ground.
Bud looked utterly stunned.
Skylar pursed her lips slightly.
She thought, ‘Did I really not use that much force? How did he end up on the floor?
‘Seriously, this guy’s physical strength is so weak, he can’t even match a girl
Skylar looked calmly at Bud sprawled on the ground. “Need me to help you up?”
Bud’s already flushed face turned crimson with rage. He scrambled up from the ground and snapped defensively, “Don’t look down on me! I only fell because I lost my footing.”
Skylar responded with an indifferent sound.
The officer barely held back a laugh.
Just as Bud was about to explode in anger, his mother, Eleanor, barged in noisily from outside.
Eleanor burst in, shouting, “My son didn’t do anything wrong! What gives you the right to drag him into the police station?
“Just arrest that gold–digging bitch Skylar and let my son go now!”
Eleanor stepped inside, caught sight of her son’s ashen face, and immediately clutched him to her bosom. “Oh, my poor boy! What happened to you?” she cried, her voice brimming with motherly concern.
Eleanor asked anxiously, “Son, what’s wrong? Did someone do something to you?”
Eleanor fixed her sharp, mean eyes on Skylar. “You conniving little tramp! You tricked my son out of his money and got him hauled off to the police
station!”
Eleanor spat, “Drop dead, you worthless piece of trash!”
Eleanor lunged at Skylar, cursing viciously as she raked her long, sharp nails straight toward Skylar’s eyes, the sheer malice in her attack made it clear she wouldn’t rest until she’d clawed them out.
The officer couldn’t stand it any longer. He jumped up and strode over, blocking Eleanor before she could attack Skylar. “What do you think you’re doing?” he demanded, “The girl has nothing to do with this. Your son is the one who misunderstood the situation.”
Eleanor wouldn’t have any of it. She snapped, “Officer, have you even done a proper investigation?”
Eleanor glared furiously at Skylar. “Don’t let this little swindler fool you! She’s a master at deception, otherwise, my son wouldn’t have been conned out of so much money by her!”
The police officer sighed in resignation and explained to her once more, “Ma’am, rest assured. We’ve thoroughly investigated. Ms. Lambert is truly innocent. Don’t believe me? Ask your son.”
Eleanor called out anxiously, “Son, is this true?”
Bud pulled his mom aside and whispered what had just happened.
Eleanor snapped, her voice frantic. “Don’t let her leave! If she gets away, who’s going to compensate us for our losses?”

Chapter 204
She thought, ‘That’s thousands of dollars, no small amount! She damn well better pay for every centr
Bud knew exactly what was going on. He glanced at the police officer and muttered under his breath, “We can’t make a move here in the police station, We’ll deal with her once we’re out.”
Eleanor had no choice but to bite back her fury for now, restraining herself from lashing out.
Seeing they had stopped making a scene, the officer had them sign the release forms and let them go.
Skylar walked ahead, pulling out her phone to call the family driver and ask him to pick her up.
Bud and Eleanor trailed behind Skylar, whispering conspiratorially.
The two were whispering conspiratorially, clearly plotting something.
Skylar appeared to be scrolling through her phone, but in reality, she was staying alert to everything happening behind her.
Bud leaned in and whispered, “Mom, why don’t we just go all the way, knock her out and drag her back with us, and then…” His eyes lingered on Skylar’s slender figure, swallowing hard at the thought.
Bud thought to himself, ‘It doesn’t matter what I have to do, as long as I get Skylar in the end, nothing else matters!
Eleanor instantly grasped her son’s meaning. “Exactly! If that little slut gets knocked up before the wedding, we won’t have to pay a single cent. We can also use this to demand more from her family.‘
