Freya grew wary, knowing Bud’s tendency to act on a whim. ‘If he suddenly decides to go looking for Skylar, who knows what trouble he’ll cause she thought, staying on high alert-

Relieved, Freya sent him the address.
After getting the address, Bud bought a bouquet of roses and hailed a cab, heading straight to Skylar’s office.
The moment he entered the company’s gate, he barged right in without hesitation.
The receptionist stopped him at the entrance. “Excuse me, sir. Who are you here to see? Do you have an appointment?”
Bud scowled in annoyance. “Don’t you know I’m Ms. Lambert’s future boyfriend? Since when does her man need an appointment to see her?”
The receptionist frowned hard. “What the hell? Ms. Lambert’s future boyfriend?”
She sized him up from head to toe, her gaze critical and unflinching.
She thought, ‘Sure, he’s kind of cute, but his proportions are just average at best.
‘With his sorry ass thinking he’s good enough for Ms. Lambert? Is he out of his damn mind?‘
She replied, “Sorry, sir, but appointments are required for entry here.”
Repeatedly blocked, Bud grew increasingly irritated. His tone turned sharp as he sneered, “Can’t even recognize important people when you see them? No wonder you’re stuck being a lowly receptionist.”
Faced with such a delusional jerk, the receptionist didn’t even pretend to be polite.
The receptionist rolled her eyes right in his face and snapped, “You’re nuts.”
“Who the hell are you calling nuts?” Bud exploded with rage after being insulted and given an eye–roll.
The receptionist didn’t back down an inch. Planting her hands on her hips, she fired back, “Who the hell do you think you are, barging into our company and stirring up trouble?
“Trying to pull that stunt with Ms. Lambert? Please, someone like you isn’t even worthy.”
Bud’s face flushed crimson with rage. Heaving heavy breaths, he jabbed a trembling finger at the receptionist. “You…” he sputtered, but the words just

Ostensibly dropping by for a business collaboration, Yosef had really come to see Skylar. But the moment he walked in, he walked stra receptionist locked in a heated argument with some guy.
As he approached, he heard the man sneer, “You power–tripping nobody! Just wait till I’m with Skylar, you’ll be the first one I fire!”
The receptionist smirked. “Bring it on. I’ll be waiting.”
The receptionist was absolutely certain. ‘No way would Ms. Lambert ever fall for a loser like that,‘ she thought confidently.
Bud was at a loss for words, his lips pressed into a thin line of frustration.

Yosef fixed Bud with an ley glare. “Did you just say who you’re going to be with?”
“Who I’m with is none of your damn business! Mind your own damn business!” Bud snapped.
Yosef, a full head taller, looked down at him with contempt. “Skylar is mine. So, do you think this has nothing to do with me?”
Bud sneered, “What? You and Skylar are seeing each other?” He let out a bitter laugh. “No wonder she’s been rejecting me all this time, she’s not been stringing me along.
“She took all those gifts from me and still pulled this shit? What a damn gold–digger!”
Bud, humiliated and enraged, threw the bouquet of roses in his hand to the floor and crushed them underfoot.
His face twisted in rage, Bud pointed at the receptionist and bellowed, “Get Skylar down here now! I want to know what the hell she’s playing all”
The receptionist’s gaze darted between Yosef and Bud.
‘I can handle Bud, no big deal. But Yosef? That’s way out of my league,‘ the receptionist thought.
She called Sophie Cook, explained the situation, and said urgently, “Ms. Cook, please check with Ms. Lambert immediately on how to handle this
This was a delicate situation, and Sophie didn’t dare make any decisions on her own. She immediately called Skylar, who was resting at home. “Us Lambert, there’s an emergency at the office. Please come right away.”
