Another secretary rushed into the office, panting. “Mr. Green, the Lambert family has also terminated our cooperation! They’ve even threatened others not to work with us!”
Harry’s legs buckled, and his secretary rushed to steady him. “Boss…”
Harry clutched his head in disbelief. “What the hell is going on? Why are they all terminating contracts at once? What on earth did we do to piss them
off?”
The two secretaries exchanged uneasy glances. Cecilia Madron, who had come in later, spoke up hesitantly, “Boss… it seems Miss Green has crossed someone powerful outside.”
“Joanna?” Harry frowned deeply. “Who could she possibly have crossed?”
He knew his daughter well, She was a bit of a party girl, but there was no way she could have come into contact with the Campbells or the Lamberts.)
He couldn’t even imagine offending both the Campbell and Lambert families at the same time.
Cecilia pursed her lips and whispered, “The Lambert family sent word that if you can’t keep Miss Green in line, they’d be happy to take over.”
Harry was no longer so sure of himself.
Without hesitation, he summoned his daughter to the office for a face–to–face confrontation.
Joanne clutched her purse, visibly annoyed at her father’s interruption.
She had no idea who had managed to wipe out all those articles and videos about Skylar’s alleged affair that she’d arranged to have posted.
Just as public opinion was about to reach its peak, all those articles and videos vanished into thin air.
The online buzz still wasn’t having the effect she wanted. ‘This isn’t enough, I need to stir things up even more,’ she thought.
She was in the middle of reorganizing the online attack when her father called, insisting she come to the office. Annoyed, Joanne walked in and snapped, “Dad, why did you have to call me to the company?”
He asked, “Joanna, have you met anyone special out and about lately?”
“Who?” Joanne asked blankly.
Harry pressed urgently, “Have you had any contact with anyone from the Campbell or Lambert families lately?”
Joanne said dismissively, “I don’t even know them.”
Clenching his jaw, Harry thrust out a photo of Yosef and demanded, “Have you seen this man?”
Joanne frowned and sneered, “Isn’t this that bitch’s husband?”
“You’ve met him?” Harry pressed urgently, his voice/rising. “Did you do something to piss him off?”
“Dad, why are you so worked up?” Joanne retorted impatiently. “If anything, they’re the ones who wronged me
“Them?” Harry seized on her words sharply. “Who else?”
“And the Lambert bitch.”
Harry’s hands shook violently, his vision blacked out, and for a moment, he nearly collapsed.

He said, “You… you ungrateful wretch! I’ve been far too lenient with you, and now look at the disaster you’ve caused!”
Harry’s eyes darted around the room before locking onto a baseball bat. In a blind rage, he snatched it up and swung violently at his daughter.
Harry roared, “You useless disgrace of a daughter! All you ever do is ruin everything. I ought to beat you to death!”
Joanne stood frozen in shock, unable to believe her father would actually hit her.
The bat struck her arm, jolting Joanne out of her daze. Clutching her injured arm, she screamed, “Dad, have you lost your mind? Why are you hitting
me?”
It felt like Joanne’s world had just imploded. “What did you say? Our Green Group is going bankrupt?
“No way, Dad! Our company was doing perfectly fine. How could we possibly go bankrupt all of a sudden?”
Joanne refused to believe it. Clinging desperately to her father’s hand, she kept pleading, “Dad, this can’t be true, right? Tell me it’s not real!”
Harry violently shoved her hand away and roared, “You disgraceful daughter! Confess everything you’ve done, now! In that case, we might still have a fighting chance.”
He thought, ‘If we can pinpoint the problem, we can fix it, then there’s still a fighting chance.
‘As long as the Green Group survives, we’ll definitely make a comeback.‘
