The moment Yosef heard the smoothie was from Victor, he “accidentally” let it slip, sending the cup crashing to the floor and spilling the drink
everywhere.
The smoothie spilled all over the floor, forming a sticky puddle.
“My bad, it slipped,” Yosef said flatly, not a trace of remorse on his face.
The assistant remained silent. Having worked with Victor for years and met countless people, he could tell that Yosef was not to be trifled with.
“We’ve ordered plenty, so one spilled cup won’t make a difference,” the assistant said smoothly, producing another cup of smoothie and setting it on the table beside Yosef. “I’ll have someone clean this up shortly.”
Yosef gave a flat grunt.
Adam happily clutched his smoothie and took two sips, only for Yosef to abruptly snatch it away.
Adam pouted, his eyes brimming with grievance. “Daddy, what are you doing?”
“You can’t drink this sugary junk. It’s bad for your health,” Yosef snapped…
Adam had just gotten a taste of the sweet drink and wanted more. Pouting, he mumbled, “Daddy, you are just making that up. gonna ask Mommy.”
Adam toddled toward Skylar on his little legs.
Looking up at her with big, pleading eyes, Adam asked in a pitiful voice, “Mommy, can I have some smoothie?”
Skylar picked him up and said gently, “Just a small sip, okay?”

“Daddy wouldn’t let me have it,” Adam pouted, drooping listlessly against Mommy’s shoulder. “I only got one tiny sip of smoothie, then Daddy snatched the rest away.”
Victor couldn’t resist Adam’s pitiful puppy–dog eyes. Holding out his own smoothie, he offered the little guy a few sips. “Don’t worry, little man. You can have some of Uncle’s drink.”

Skylar looked at him and said gently but firmly, “Alright, that’s enough for now. No more.”
Adam was an obedient boy. The moment Skylar said no, he immediately pushed Victor’s hand away. “Okay, Uncle Victor, no more.”
From a distance, Yosef watched as Adam and Victor laughed and joke hand on the chair so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

Skylar struggled but was overpowered, her wrist seized as Yosef pinned her firmly against the wall.
She said, “Yosef, have you lost your damn mind?”
Yosef’s dark eyes bore into Skylar, “Skylar, what exactly is going on between you, Blake, and Caden?”
Finally cornering Skylar alone, Yosef skipped the pleasantries and got straight to the point, firing off all the burning questions that had been eating at
him.
Skylar pursed her lips, unwilling to reveal her relationship with her brothers. “What’s between me and them is none of your business,” she retorted.
“Skylar,” Yosef gritted his teeth, “must you keep provoking me?”
“I wasn’t trying to provoke you,” Skylar said coolly, “You’re the one who keeps coming after me.”
Yosef let out a bitter laugh. “If they can be with you, why the hell can’t I?”
At first, Skylar didn’t quite grasp what Yosef was implying. But as his meaning dawned on her, fury surged through her.
Skylar shot him a glare and retorted, “My relationship with them is purely innocent, nothing like your filthy imagination!”
“Filthy? Me?” Yosef’s face darkened. Never in his life had a woman dared call him that.
He scoffed coldly, grabbed Skylar’s chin, and said, “Skylar, that mouth of yours does nothing but provoke me.”
Skylar struggled against his grip and snapped, “Let go of me!”
Skylar struggled violently, desperate to break free from Yosef’s grip.
His features suddenly filled Skylar’s vision. Before she could react, Yosef crushed his lips against hers, stealing her breath away. She let out a muffled sound, struggling in his grip.
