Skylar sighed helplessly.
She felt that only his brother would think she was very skinny.
Joanna Green suddenly stormed over and snapped, “What the hell are you two doing?”
Their conversation was abruptly cut short by a shrill female voice. Victor’s brows knitted together the moment he recognized it. “Miss Green, what are you doing here?” he asked coldly.
“What? Am I not allowed here?” Joanna snapped, storming over with her silver clutch in hand.
Without a word, Joanna suddenly lashed out at Skylar’s delicate face. “You bitch! How dare you seduce the man I’ve set my eyes on while I was away!
“I’ll beat you to death and ruin that pretty face! Let’s see how you’ll seduce men then!”
Joanna’s slap came with full force, but Skylar effortlessly caught her wrist.
Skylar was left speechless by her. With barely concealed exasperation, she said, “Miss, do you really think it’s appropriate to behave so rudely in front of everyone?”
Joanna gnashed her teeth, looking like she wanted to tear Skylar apart. “Why would I need manners when dealing with a bitch like you?”
Victor exploded with rage and snapped, “Miss Green, watch your mouth!”
“Caden, are you really taking that bitch’s side against me now?” Joanna’s voice cracked with hurt, tears welling in her eyes as she glared at Victor like he was some two–timing scum.
Skylar suddenly got it.

Skylar initially thought it was just a misunderstanding. She was about to release Joanna’s wrist and explain everything properly.
Seething with rage, Joanna suddenly swung her bag with her other hand, aiming it straight at Skylar.
Thankfully, Skylar reacted quickly and swatted away the incoming bag, otherwise, she would’ve been hit on the head.
Joanna’s eyes blazed with fury, her fair little face twisted by jealousy. She screamed, “You bitch! Is it that pretty face of yours that’s bewitched him?”
Victor forcefully pulled Joanna away and shielded Skylar behind him. He said coldly, “Miss Green, let me make this clear, there’s absolutely nothing
between us.”
Victor found Joanna’s clinginess absolutely revolting.
Joanna was the daughter of Arnold Green, the producer who funded Victor’s last film. No one could figure out what she saw in relentlessly pursuing him.

Victor couldn’t stand Joanna’s behavior any longer. He devised a plan and had her father ship her off abroad
However, he would’ve never thought she’d be back in less than a month.
Just days ago on set, she seemed perfectly normal. Victor had thought she’d truly changed. But now, right before his eyes, she was showing her true colors by bullying Skylar.
Joanna was the pampered only child who got everything she ever wanted.
The moment Joanna first laid eyes on Victor, she was instantly smitten. She even told her father bluntly, “I want him. Make him mine.”
Her father had promised her that he’d get Victor for her.
But later, her father warned her that Victor wasn’t just anybody. He had powerful connections, and she couldn’t just mess with him.
Joanna had no choice but to suppress her craving for Victor. She drew closer to him, biding her time and patiently waiting for the right moment to make
her move.
There always seemed to be a swarm of women buzzing around him, which made her blood boil with jealousy.
Joanna seethed with jealousy. ‘If only I could exterminate all those pests buzzing around him, then no one would dare covet what was rightfully mine! she thought fiercely.
