Chapter 164
Skylar remained unaffected. “I’ll assign Leon to be responsible for all follow up matters at the company. That’s all for today’s nating s
The shareholders left one after another.
After they were all gone, Skylar stood up to leave as well.
David stood up and blocked her path. “You bitch! I raised you for so many years, and this is how you repay me?”
He raised his hand to hit Skylar, but Leon caught his hand and exerted a little force.
David cried out in pain, grimacing. “It hurts, it hurts! My hand is going to break!”
“Let me go, please, let me go!” He was in so much pain that he started begging.
Skylar remained silent.
Leon’s grip tightened. David’s body twisted in pain as he kept wailing.
Finally realizing the severity of the situation, David began apologizing. “Skylar, it’s my fault. I was wrong! I’m sorry! Please, tell him to let go! My hand is really going to break!”
Skylar gave Leon a look. Leon released him.
David collapsed to the ground, clutching his hand, drenched in cold sweat.
Skylar looked down on him coldly. “Mr. Stone, I hope you remember this pain. Next time, don’t be so reckless. Otherwise, it won’t just hurt. Your hand will actually break.”
David lowered his head, his body trembling slightly, without saying a word.
Skylar left with Leon.
Once they were gone, David climbed to his feet, spat in their direction, and cursed. “Bitch! She dares to do this to me?”
David muttered under his breath, “I gave her some leeway, and she really thinks she’s somebody now? Bitch! If I find anything on you, I’ll destroy you!”
After cursing, he clutched his swollen hand and went to the hospital.
The doctor examined him and diagnosed a fracture, then put his hand in a cast.
David was furious and continued to curse Skylar all the way.
While sitting in the car on the way home, a thought struck him. He told the driver to turn around.
He couldn’t deal with Skylar, but someone else could.
The car pulled up in front of a psychiatric hospital.
David told the hospital director he wanted to take Elianna away.
The director feigned difficulty, then slowly and calmly refused. “Sorry, you can’t take away a patient who hasn’t yet recovered.”
David’s eyes widened, and his voice rose. “My daughter isn’t even sick. I know perfectly well what her condition is!”
He added, “Let her come home with me now, or I’ll sue your hospital for illegally detaining a mentally healthy person!”

The director wasn’t moved. “Sorry, but for your sake and for society’s safety, we can’t release a psychiatre panent”
Seeing that threats didn’t work, David softened and pulled out a bank card. “A little token of appreciation”
The director pushed away the card. “No.”
The director’s refusal to budge made David furious. “What kind of lousy hospital is this? I need your permission to take my own daughter! Balears her
right now!”
The director raised an eyebrow. “You
mentally unstable yourself. How about staying here with your daughter for treatment?”
“I’m perfectly sane! I’m not staying in a damn mental hospital!” David refused repeatedly.
He continued, “If I can’t take her, at least

away imaginary tears.
A simple visit wouldn’t cause trouble, so the director agreed, but also reported the situation to Yosef.
Yosef told them to keep a close eye on the meeting and report any developments immediately.
The director arranged for someone to monitor their visit.
David wasn’t happy about that. “I have to be watched while talking to my daughter?”
The director explained, “Ms. Stone’s mental state is extremely unstable. If no one’s watching, she might hit you.”
David said nothing more.
When Elianna was brought out and saw her father, she clutched his sleeve. “Dad, are you here to take me home?”
She pleaded, “Dad, please save me. Take me home. I can’t take this anymore. I really can’t! If this keeps up, I’ll go crazy even if I wasn’t before!”
Looking at her disheveled appearance and manic expression, David gasped. “Elianna, calm down.”
“Dad, please take me home, I’m begging you.” She kept repeating her plea to leave, completely ignoring anything else he said.
David tried to calm her down. “Elianna, just listen to me. If you help me with something, I promise I’ll take you home.”
She caught the word “home” and suddenly quieted down. She glanced at the staff standing nearby. “You, go outside. I want to speak to my dad alone.”
The staff member replied, “The director ordered that no patient is allowed to be alone with family.”
Elianna tugged at her father’s sleeve and urged, “Dad, give her money.”
The staff member shook her head. “I don’t want money.”
Elianna said, “300 thousand dollars.”
The staff member’s gaze changed in an instant.
Elianna urged, “Dad, just give her the 300 thousand dollars.”
David frowned, reluctant to part with 300 thousand dollars, but his plan left him no choice.
Wincing at the cost, David gave the 300 thousand dollars, finally securing some privacy for the two of them to talk.
Once the person left, Elianna asked urgently, “What do you want me to do?”

David told her everything that had happened recently “I built the Stone Group from scratch. It’s meant for you and you frother Hea cap the pret tabar it
from us?”
He added, “Elianna, you have to come up with a way to get it back.”
Elianna’s eyes darkened with malice. “That bitch! She ruined me and now she wants to steal our inheritance too?*
Elianna leaned in and whispered in David’s ear, “Dad, here’s what we’ll do…”
Dávid nodded.
They called the staff back in. Not long after, David left the hospital with someone dressed as a caregiver
By the time the director realized what was happening, Elianna was gone. He immediately reported it to Yosef
The director asked, “She’s out. We can’t bring her back. What should we do, Mr. Campbell?”
Yosef replied calmly, “No need to worry. I’ll handle it.”
He hung up and called Skylar.
Yosef said, “Elianna’s out.”
Skylar sounded unfazed. “So what?”
He said, “I’m afraid she might try to get revenge on you.”
Skylar replied, “I’ll deal with whatever comes. Nothing to be afraid of.”
Seeing her so confident, Yosef didn’t insist. “If you ever need help, just call me.”
Skylar said, “I probably won’t. I can handle it. If there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up.”
Yosef sighed when he heard the busy tone. He finally had a chance to call her, yet the conversation ended so fast.
The next morning, when Skylar left for work, she was blocked at the door by a crowd.
“Heartless! You ungrateful wretch! Do you not care about any of us? You’re out to destroy us!”
“I might as well die here today! Better than being bullied by someone as cold–blooded as you!”
