Chapter 146
Adam felt like bubbles of joy were rising in his heart.
Right now, Skylar really wanted to push Yosef away, but when she saw the happiness on Adam’s face, she suppressed her discomfort and didn’t move.
Yosef noticed her slight frown and understood she was resistant to him, so he casually let go of her hand and asked, “Adam, are you hungry?”
As soon as he said that, Adam suddenly felt his stomach growl.
He rubbed his empty tummy. “I’m hungry.”
Yosef opened the lighter–flavored meal.
Adam leaned in and gave Skylar a kiss on the cheek. “Mommy, feed me.”
He really loved his mommy so much. He wanted to stick with her all the time.
Yosef didn’t want the boy to develop into a clingy type. He said coldly, “You’re a big boy now, still need to be fed? Eat on your own.”
Adam felt his father’s pressure and pouted, looking a little upset. “Got it.”
Skylar couldn’t bear to see the child sad. In her heart, she wanted to spoil the child she had been separated from for so long.
She smiled gently. “It’s okay. I will feed you.”
“Mommy, you’re the best!” Adam gave her a big kiss on the cheek and proudly raised his little chin to look at his dad.
Then, worried his dad would scold him, he quickly hid in his mommy’s arms.
Yosef chuckled softly. This little brat already knew how to find backup.
Skylar fed Adam, and the little guy asked with concern, “Mommy, have you eaten yet?”
He’d seen the barely touched lunchbox left aside earlier.
After feeding him another bite, Skylar said, “Don’t worry about me. You eat first.”
Adam chewed his food and then stopped her from giving him another bite. “Mommy, you eat too.”
He took the spoon and turned it toward her. “Eat.”
Skylar wanted to say no, but couldn’t resist the little guy. She took a bite.
Yosef sat nearby, watching the two feed each other one bite at a time, and couldn’t help but smile.
Adam felt his father’s gaze and blinked his big eyes, tilting his head slightly, “Daddy, have you eaten yet?”
He patted Mommy’s hand, “Mommy, Daddy hasn’t eaten either. He looks so pitiful watching us eat. Can you feed him too?”
Skylar’s hand trembled, almost dropping the spoon.
She thought, ‘Feed Yosef? What is this little rascal thinking?‘
She sighed. Adam was too young to understand the complex issues between her and Yosef. Wanting his parents to be closer was natural.
Skylar didn’t want to feed Yosef and came up with an excuse. “Your dad will eat on his own later. No need to worry about him.”

Chapter 146
Adam pouted. “Daddy, are you going out to eat something delicious by yourself?”
How could Daddy sneak off to eat tasty food without taking him and Mommy? This was the perfect chance to strengthen their bond. His daddy couldn’t
miss it.
If things went on like this, his mommy would never forgive his daddy and come home to live with them.
If his mommy didn’t forgive daddy, Adam decided he wouldn’t go home either. He’d stay with his mommy.
Adam declared, “If Mommy won’t forgive Daddy, then I won’t go back either! I’ll stay with Mom forever!”
Yosef’s mouth twitched. To stop the little guy from imagining too much and to avoid making Skylar uncomfortable, he said lightly, “I already ate.”
Adam shook his head slightly.
He thought his daddy was too clueless. He didn’t even know how to take opportunities. He still had to rely on him.
