Chapter 134
Chapter 134
Aaron glanced calmly at Elianna sitting across from him.
She was currently in the eye of the storm. If she were to get engaged to Yosef no over the internet.
If things got worse, it could even damage the company’s reputation.
he would surely be dragged down with her, scolded by netizens all
Once the company was affected, the shareholders would no longer sit still. Then, if Aaron maneuvered a bit and won over a few of them, the company would be his.
Aaron’s interest was piqued. He sat up straighter, putting on a righteous expression. “Yosef is being too irresponsible. How can he keep dragging this out with you?”
He added, “Don’t worry. I’ll speak to Grandpa with you and make sure he urges Yosef to give you a proper title soon.”
Stephen’s eyes narrowed slightly as he coughed a few times. “Alright, Elianna. You may go now.”
Elianna had gotten what she wanted and didn’t linger. She stood up and bid farewell. “I’ll be leaving now.”
Stephen just looked at her and nodded slightly.
After Elianna left, Stephen’s cloudy yet razor–sharp gaze turned to Aaron. “Aaron, behave yourself. If anything else happens, I won’t help your family again.”
He had already failed his eldest child once. He couldn’t afford to hurt them again.
The smile on Aaron’s face slowly faded. He sneered coldly. “Grandpa, you’re so biased. That position should go to whoever is capable. If I’m capable, why can’t I fight for it?”
Stephen snapped, “Enough! It’s exactly because I spoiled your family in the past that you’ve become so unruly, doing such terrible things.”
He added, “As long as I’m alive, there will be no internal strife or scheming among Campbell family brothers.”
Aaron was clearly not convinced.
But Stephen didn’t give him any leeway. “If I find out you’re up to something, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
With that, Stephen stood up and went upstairs.
Aaron sat on the sofa, his face clouded with resentment, frustration simmering just beneath the surface.
Stephen could never suppress him. The more he was held down, the more he wanted to fight back.
Aaron didn’t stay long before he left the mansion.
From the second–floor balcony, Stephen gave instructions to someone behind him. “Watch Aaron closely. Don’t let him do anything inappropriate.”
His assistant replied, “Understood.”
Stephen continued calmly, “Since the Stone family wants to hold the engagement ceremony with the Campbell family, those online rumors should be handled too. We can’t let the Campbell family get dragged into this mess.”
His assistant acknowledged the order and left.
Yosef received word from Stephen. He had originally been heading to pick up a report, but changed direction and went to the old mansion instead.

Chapter 134
Yosef sat down, his face emotionless. “Grandpa, why did you call me back?”
Stephen replied, “Yosef, it’s time you gave the child’s mother a proper status.”
Yosef sneered. “Did she come to you?”
Stephen said nothing.
Yosef understood. He hadn’t expected Elianna to be so impatient.
Yosef said coldly, “Don’t forget. I’m still legally married.”
“She disappeared for five years. She could be dead for all we know.” Stephen didn’t have much memory of Skylar. Yosef rarely brought her back to the old mansion, and their interactions had been minimal.
Stephen said slowly, “I’ve heard some things recently. Skylar Lambert shares the same name as Skylar Stone, and they look similar. But they’re not the same person.”
He added, “You’re not young anymore. If I talk too much, you’ll just get annoyed.”
Yosef’s cold eyes stared straight into Stephen’s. “Don’t have people tail me again. Or don’t blame me for being rude.”
Stephen’s eyes showed a flicker of anger.
