Chapter 132
Elianna was upset when she heard that.
‘What does ‘as soon as possible‘ even mean? Am I supposed to wait another five years?‘ She didn’t have that much time left.
“Yosef, you should divorce Skylar tomorrow.” Taking advantage of his gentler attitude toward her lately, Elianna got even bolder.
Yosef’s expression turned cold. “Elianna, I said I’ll do it soon. There’s no need for you to be so pushy.”
The moment he got angry, Elianna softened. “Yosef, I’ve just been waiting too long and got a little anxious. Don’t be mad. I’ll wait for you.”
Yosef had already gotten what he wanted and didn’t want to keep playing along. He said lightly, “I have work to do. Hudson will take you home. Get some rest.”
Elianna didn’t want to go back. She wanted to spend time at the company to strengthen their bond. Just as she was about to refuse, Hudson walked in.
Hudson said politely, “Ms. Stone, I’ll take you home.”
Elianna glared at him fiercely. He was completely tactless.
Hudson pretended not to notice, smiling politely. “Please.”
Elianna clenched her teeth, gave him a sideways look, then turned to Yosef. “Then I’ll go for now. Don’t overwork yourself. Take care of your health.”
Yosef gave a slight nod as a response.
Elianna forced a smile, turned around, and snapped at Hudson, “Let’s go.”
After dropping Elianna off, Hudson returned to the company and picked up Yosef to go see
Skylar.
Skylar was at work at the company, holding Adam in her arms as the little one`slept while she worked.
When Yosef arrived, that was the scene he saw.
Skylar held Adam with a gentle air around her. Her brows no longer carried their usual sternness. Instead, she looked soft and serene.
Sophie knocked and quietly said, “Ms. Lambert, Mr. Campbell of Campbell Group is here.”
Without even lifting her head, Skylar gestured to let him in.
Yosef came in and walked over to her. “Adam’s really attached to you.”
Skylar glanced down at the little one in her arms.
The child was sleeping soundly, cheeks rosy like a fragrant apple. He was utterly adorable.
A wave of warmth welled up in her heart, and her tone with him was less frosty than usual. “Kids are like that. They stick to whoever treats them well.”
For some reason, Yosef smiled faintly. “Let me hold him. You can work in peace.”
Skylar refused. “No need. If I move him, he’ll wake up.”
Maybe their voices were a bit loud, because Adam stirred and rubbed his eyes. “Mommy, I think I heard Daddy’s voice.”
Skylar paused her work, picked him up, and shifted his position. “Yes, your dad’s here.”
Adam opened his eyes and saw his tall father standing there. “Daddy!”

Chapter 132
He leapt off his mother and threw himself around his father’s leg.
Yosef smiled faintly and bent down to pick him up. “Adam, how have you been lately?”
Adam replied, “I’m great! Super happy every day!”
Adam hugged his dad’s neck and curiously asked, “Daddy, why are you here today?”
Yosef replied, “Just happened to be nearby, so I came to visit.”
Adam got annoyed. “Just passing by? Didn’t you come just to see me?”
His pouty face looked even rounder, like it was made to be squished.
Yosef gave a small smile and ruffled his hair while discreetly plucking two strands of hair. “I came just for you.”
Adam flinched a bit from the tug but forgot about it quickly, nodding happily. “I knew it! Daddy came especially for me!”
