Chapter 108
Skylar assigned roles to the auditioners and handed the list to the casting director to notify them.
She got up to leave, planning to freshen up in the lounge before heading home.
Freya trailed her, cornering her on the street and blocking her from getting into her car. She then dismissed the driver.
Skylar crossed her arms. “Something you want to say?”
Freya’s eyes were bloodshot as she glared at her, her voice sharp. “You did this on purpose, didn’t you?”
“On purpose what?” Skylar asked.
Freya’s eyes were bloodshot as she glared daggers at Skylar and shrieked, “Stop pretending! This was all your plan, wasn’t it?
“You’re Sapphire! You knew I was impersonating you and didn’t expose me, just so you could humiliate me in front of everyone today, right?
“Victor hates me now, and all those fans know I’m not Sapphire. They’re all trashing me. Are you happy now?”
She’d been scrolling through her X account during the event. She’d posted some flattering photos for ‘her fans‘.
They’d tuned into Elianna’s stream hoping to see how Sapphire selected actors, only to discover the person they’d followed for years was a fake.
After years of deception, learning the truth had sent them into a rage. The comments poured in, along with a flood of DMs.
Freya didn’t dare open them.
Being a Lambert had always shielded her from such criticism.
Ever since Skylar came back, it felt like she was constantly being attacked or waiting for the next blow, terrified the Lamberts would kick her out.
Thinking of the Lamberts, and how big this had blown up online, they must have all seen it. She had no idea how she was going to face them.
Freya blamed Skylar for everything. Her resentment intensified, her pretty eyes, now clouded with malice, fixed on Skylar in a way that was genuinely
unnerving.
Skylar looked at her, speechless. “Did I ask you to impersonate me?
“You were greedy. You wanted glory that wasn’t yours. What’s that got to do with me?
“Stolen goods are never truly yours. You always have to give them back eventually. It’s just a matter of time.
“You’re a grad student. Don’t you even understand that simple principle?”
With every word from Skylar, Freya’s expression darkened.
She was furious. “But you could have stopped me! We could have talked about this. Instead, you chose to humiliate me publicly.
“You just resent me! You don’t want me to have an/easy life!”
‘Blame everyone and everything but herself. Skylar almost laughed.
“Why on earth would I sit down and have a nice chat with you after you plagiarized my identity?”
Freya roared, “You’re just trying to destroy me! You don’t want me to be happy!”
Her tantrum didn’t faze Skylar in the slightest. Skylar watched her meltdown, her own emotions perfectly still.

Chapter 108
When Freya finally stopped, panting, Skylar asked coolly, “Are you done?”
Freya’s gaze was like daggers, as if she wanted to stab Skylar right then and there.
“You’re an adult. You make a mistake, you face the consequences, I’m not going to argue with you here. It’s pointless.” Skylar said.
Freya said nothing, her venomous gaze fixed on Skylar.
Seeing Freya wasn’t going to cause more trouble, Skylar took out her phone to call a ride.
The family had four drivers, but one was on leave and the others were busy, so she had to rely on ride–sharing.
As she looked down, she missed the venomous glint in Freya’s eyes.
Freya saw a car approaching in the distance and a chilling smile touched her lips.
She lunged, shoving Skylar hard. “Skylar, drop dead!”
Skylar, caught off guard looking down, reacted instantly. She grabbed Freya’s arm, twisted, and pulled Freya down beneath her, using her as a cushion.
As they both tumbled, a car sped towards them, looking like it was about to hit them.
“Skylar!” Victor cried out.
Victor had been looking for Freya inside, then Skylar. Not finding them, he’d come out, assuming they’d left.
He was calling for his driver when he saw Freya push Skylar just as a car was about to hit them.
His eyes widened in terror, his phone slipping from his trembling hand.
He wanted to rush over, but his feet felt rooted to the spot. He could only watch, horrified, as the car bore down on them.
A screech of tires, and the car stopped inches from them.
Freya, terrified by the car that had nearly run her over, fainted.
Skylar, also shaken, took a moment to recover before getting up.
Victor rushed over, grabbing Skylar and checking her all over. “Thank God you’re okay.”
The driver, seeing he hadn’t hit anyone, started yelling, “Are you crazy? Didn’t you see the car-”
He cut himself off, intimidated by Victor’s icy glare. He swallowed, turned the wheel, and muttered, “Just my luck.”
“Victor, don’t worry, I’m really okay,” Skylar said softly, taking his still–trembling hand.
Victor squeezed his eyes shut. “I know. It’s just adrenaline. It’ll pass.”
Skylar said, “Victor, Freya fainted. We should take her to the hospital.”
Victor’s gaze fell on Freya, cold and hard. He sneered, “She almost killed you. I’m telling Mom and Dad exactly what happened.”
Skylar knew he was furious, Glancing at the curious onlookers, she sighed. ‘Let’s deal with this at home. Making a scene out here will just start gossip.
Reluctantly, Victor pulled Freya up and supported her. When the driver arrived, he took her to the hospital.
Skylar had intended to wait for Freya to wake up to confront her, but she got a call from home saying Adam wasn’t feeling well.
She told Victor and rushed back.

Chapter 108
Victor stayed at the hospital with Freya. He sat on a chair, the chill in his eyes seeming to lower the room’s temperature by several degrees.
Freya was already awake; she had been since they were on the way to the hospital. But she hadn’t come up with a perfect excuse yet, so she kept pretending to be asleep.
“Are you going to keep pretending?” Victor said coldly.
Freya’s eyelashes fluttered. She slowly opened her eyes, which were brimming with tears. “Victor…
Victor Lambert glared at her and said, “I don’t have a sister as malicious as you.”
Freya bit her lip. “I didn’t mean to. I couldn’t help myself. Please, let me explain, okay?”
Victor stared at her coldly. “Go on. I’m curious to hear how you ‘couldn’t help yourself.”
“I’m sick.” Freya said.
Victor scoffed. “Oh, so now you’re cursing yourself with an illness just to escape blame?”
Freya’s face was pale. She gave a bitter smile. “I wouldn’t lie about my health.”
Victor looked directly into her eyes, staring deep as if trying to see through to her soul.
Freya didn’t flinch, meeting his gaze and sobbing pitifully.
