Chapter 104
“You should head back now,” Freya urged, “don’t get in anyone’s way.”
Skylar asked, intrigued, “Whose way am fin?”
“Me,” Freya snapped. She was afraid if Skylar stayed, she’d try to win points with Victor, and also worried Skylar might discover her little scheme.
She couldn’t let this nuisance Skylar hang around.
Skylar just said “Oh” coolly and walked straight inside.
Freya stepped forward, blocking her. “Didn’t you hear me?”
“I heard you,” Skylar replied. “But I’m not obligated to listen to you, am I?”
Freya fumed. “I’m your older sister, your elder! How dare you defy me?”
Skylar said calmly, “You’re not that much older. Getting angry all the time will give you wrinkles.”
Freya was speechless.
Skylar gently pushed her aside. “Step aside, sister. Don’t block my way.”
Freya, indignant, chased after her, ready to scold her, but was stopped at the door. “Sorry, staff only beyond this point,” a guard said.
“Then how did she get in?” Freya pointed angrily at Skylar. “She’s not staff either!”
“She has a pass. Do you?” the guard retorted.
Freya was baffled. ‘A pass? What pass?‘
“If you don’t have one, please step away,” the guard continued. “This is a confidential area.”
Freya grew even more suspicious. ‘What on earth is Skylar doing in there? Why would she have a pass?‘
After racking her brains to no avail, she returned to Victor’s side.
“What took you so long?” Victor asked.
“I just saw Skylar,” Freya said. “I don’t know what she’s doing here. She went into some dark room, and there were people guarding it.”
Freya’s face filled with worry. “Victor, do you think Skylar’s gotten into trouble with someone? Or maybe she’s been tricked… I’m so worried about her.”
Her eyes reddened as she spoke, making her look like a genuinely caring older sister.
Victor shot to his feet. “Where? Let’s go find her right now.”
An announcement came- “Auditions will begin in five minutes. Please enter in an orderly fashion and find your seats.”
Elianna, hurriedly touching up her makeup, asked Mona, “How are things looking?”
“Don’t worry,” Mona assured her. “I’ve warned everyone off. No one will compete with you for the lead role.”
“Good.” Elianna applied her lipstick, her eyes glinting. “Later, start a livestream so the fans can see my acting. And get someone to write an article. We need to make sure today’s audition performance trends.”

Mona smiled. “Rest assured, I’ll take care of it.”
The auditions began.
All the auditioners went into the room. A girl arrived late, hurrying, but was stopped.
“I’m here to audition too! Please, just let me in,” the girl pleaded desperately. “I’m
begging)
g you.”
The security guard was unyielding. “No. The audition time has passed. You can’t go in.”
The girl’s eyes were red as she squatted on the ground, blaming herself.
She’d finally gotten an audition chance, and she’d wasted it.
After her moment of despair, she wiped her tears and sat down on a nearby chair.
She’d wait until it was over and try again, see if there was any chance.
When Victor entered, Freya followed him.
“Aren’t you going to sit up there and watch them cast?” Victor asked.
Freya shook her head. “There are plenty of people watching up there. That’s enough. I’d rather stay with you, brother.”
Victor looked at her with a complicated expression. Since he’d been back, a few incidents had made him feel that this sister wasn’t as innocent and sweet as she appeared.
But she still treated him the same as before, which made it impossible for him to call her out. Keeping it bottled up frustrated him immensely.
But when his gaze returned to the stage, his eyes widened in shock, his heart a mix of astonishment and anger.
