My Sister’s Dying 4

My Sister’s Dying 4

Chapter 4

The courtroom fell dead silent.

Everyone stared at me like I’d lost my damn mind.

A perpetrator reporting the victim?

It sounded absolutely insane.

My parents had completely given up on me.

“Betty, what the hell is wrong with you? Are you pissed that your sister survived and now you want to throw her in prison? You’re seriously not human!”

Sarah clutched her chest, going pale as a sheet, acting like she was genuinely heartbroken.

“Betty, you’re the one who did this to me, and now you’re trying to turn the tables? How could you?”

Jake looked at me with total disappointment.

“Betty, I’m done with you. We’re over. Someone like you doesn’t deserve to be my girlfriend.”

My parents jumped right in: “Yes! We’re cutting ties with you too!”

I let out a bitter laugh.

Finally, they were saying what they really felt.

Dad’s subordinates started schmoozing with the Military Command officers, trying to get rid of them.

“This is all a misunderstanding. Betty’s the one who refused medical care-we can handle this internally. No need to trouble you folks. Betty’s just talking nonsense. She doesn’t have any proof.”

“Who says I don’t have proof?!”

My eyes turned steely. Every bit of abuse I’d endured was about to come back to bite them.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m the one who’s been bullied and tormented this whole time!”

I pulled out my medical report from a few days ago. It clearly showed I’d been poisoned with neurotoxins.

The kind you get from long-term exposure.

“Sarah put neurotoxins in the dead tulips in my room. She knew that even though the flowers were dying, they were Grandma’s, and

I’d never throw them away.”

“Who’d suspect a wilted bouquet?”

Sarah actually laughed.

“Sis, even if you really were poisoned, why would you think I did it? Or are you just making this whole thing up?”

The crowd got riled up again.

“Exactly! We all know Sarah’s character. She’d never hurt her own sister.”

“Yeah, you’re the ungrateful one here. How can you be so vicious?”

“Military Command, she’s the one you should be arresting!”

I narrowed my eyes at Sarah’s smug face and spoke slowly: “You think just because you bought that poison on the black market, I can’t trace the purchase records?”

I pulled out a neurotoxin purchase receipt with Sarah’s signature on it!

A few days ago, police had raided the black market and arrested a bunch of drug dealers.

One of them had sold to Sarah.

The guy handed over all his records to save his own skin.

I waved the receipt Sarah.

“This handwriting

is obviously yours. What’s your excuse now? Gonna tell everyone you poisoned yourself?”

Sarah’s eyes kept darting around.

She never expected that dealer to keep records.

She could only deny everything.

“Betty, what’s the point of framing me like this? You can’t trust what some criminal says. And why would I poison you? Everyone knows how I treat you.”

She put on her pitiful act, tears streaming down her face.

Same old routine. Whenever she played victim, Mom and Dad would take her side, no questions asked. Everything was always my

fault.

Sure enough, my parents stepped in front of Sarah again.

Even with all this evidence staring them in the face.

“Betty, don’t push it. This has to be some kind of mistake. Your sister isn’t that kind of person!”

I laughed coldly.

“A mistake? Then she won’t mind confronting that dealer, right? He said he’s got security footage. You brave enough to watch it?”

Sarah panicked, couldn’t get a word out.

Even an idiot could see she was guilty.

But there wasn’t actually any footage-I was just bluffing.

Mom asked through her tears: “Sarah, did you really do this?”

“Why would you do such a thing?”

Sarah’s face was a mess of emotions-panic and anger all mixed together.

Suddenly, Sarah dropped to her knees, apologizing frantically to my parents.

“I was out of my mind when I drugged my sister. I just couldn’t take being bullied anymore, so I did something terrible. Go ahead and yell at me, or just send me to prison. I won’t complain.”

“Forget

letter of forgiveness for you.”

My nails dug deep into my palms until they drew blood.

Even now, they were still protecting her!

“Fine, you can forgive her for the poisoning. But are you gonna cover for Sarah’s unauthorized deployment too?”
