“The shamelessness of the Adelsons is wild,” the neighbor said, flashing his phone. “Don’t worry–I recorded everything. If
anything happens to Yasmine, the cops will be knocking on your door first.”
He adjusted his sleeves, smirking. “Mr. Adelson, you’re not thinking of stopping me, are you? Hope not–this is a livestream. You
do know what that is, right?”
The comment section was blowing up, cheering him on.
Sebastian just clenched his fists, silent as the guy walked out.
The second the door shut, he decked Chuck.

“You’ve got five seconds–where’s Yasmine? Where’d those pics come from? I said don’t show Sharon’s face unless it was
bulletproof. This is your version of love?”
All the leaked pics were of Chuck and Sharon. No one had thought Sharon could’ve been behind it.
Chuck wiped his mouth, jaw tight. “Why don’t you ask your precious daughter?”
Sharon walked in, brows furrowed. “Dad? Mom? Chuck? What’s going on? Why the meltdown? Why are you all looking at me?”
Chuck hurled the tablet at her. “Look what you did, Sharon! How many times did I say–take pics, fine, but don’t post them! Why
couldn’t you listen? Now it’s everywhere. Happy now?”
Sharon froze under his glare, then tugged his sleeve, trying to act sweet. “Chuck, I’m sorry, okay? I just wanted to share some joy.
“It was a few pics on my alt. How was I supposed to know Yasmine would dig that up?
“Don’t be mad. She’ll listen to you, like always.”
She left out the part where she’d added Yasmine and sent her DMs. In her head, Yasmine wasn’t even worth worrying about. With
the Adelsons and Benettons, crushing her felt like stepping on a bug.
“Idiot.” Sebastian slapped her. He never really cared about her—she was just insurance. He just didn’t want to hand over the
company to an outsider.
And maybe, yeah–some guilt. If they’d known sooner, maybe Sharon wouldn’t have suffered. Seeing her cry back then? That’s
when he dropped Yasmine.
But mostly? Sharon had hooked Chuck early. The heir to Benetton Corp.
Chuck’s title as the real daughter’s husband? Way more useful than being tied to the “adopted one.
It was classic survival of the fittest. And Yasmine? She was the sacrifice.
“Dad, why’d you hit me? I’m your real daughter. You hid me for six years because of her, and I let it slide. Now I’m pregnant –

with your actual grandkid. What’s so wrong about wanting to come home?”

Sharon stared them down like she owned the place. Adelson heiress, future Benetton queen–this drama barely registered.
“If it blows up, just toss some cash at it. Yasmine’s freaking out ‘cause she knows you’re done backing her once I’m back. She’s a
fake–and she will be broke, head to toe.”
Sebastian’s hand shook as he pointed at her. “You…”
He used to think the daughter raised apart was just rough around the edges–she’d grow out of it. Never imagined she’d turn out
this dumb and cruel.
