I went to the temple with my best friend to pray for good fortune. Suddenly, she grabbed the fortune stick from my hand and became excited when she saw my finger bleeding.

Erica had always been terrified of slimy animals, but now she held the frog like a treasure. “The heavens have finally smiled on me! The lucky frog is mine at last!”
Upon seeing this, I was certain that Erica had been reborn just like me.
Just thinking about how vicious she looked when she pushed me down the stairs in our past life and the pain that felt like being torn apart, sent a chill down my spine.

After buying some things, she squeezed into the crowd and tossed both our receipts into the draw box.

Erica kept mumbling nervously, looking unsure.

Right then, a frog croaked from her pocket.

She rolled her eyes at me and said with pride, “Jasmine, you’re jealous, aren’t you? But this
is just the beginning. With the Lucky Frog, I’m going straight to the top! Someone like you isn’t even worthy of being my friend anymore. We’re done!”
Then she pushed past me and walked off, full of herself.
Jealous?
I couldn’t help but laugh.
