Chapter Eighteen: Coronation Part One
“Kiara, at age nine
Kiara POV:
“Kiara, sweetheart, come on, it’s getting late. You have to get ready for the coronation. I heard auntie Meg say again.
After I and II had talked and made our pinky promise, we played for a lit in the playground. Rex even came out after a few minutes. But now that the coronation was about to start, Rex I went to itex’s room to get ready; I wanted to go too, but they were talking about cars and bikes, and I really didn’t wanna get bored. Plus, all my clothes were in my room, and Rex’s room was very far from mine. So, I told them to go ahead and I would meet them at the coronation after playing on the swings for a bit and getting ready. Turning around, I saw antle Meg smiling at me and ushering me to come with her; I smiled back and was just about to get up when I remembered something.
“Auntie Meg, did you already help II? You know he’s terrible at choosing what to wear. He’ll end wearing everything that has cars drawn on it.” I said, giggling.
Auntie Meg also laughed, knowing I was right.
Gosh, sweetheart, that totally slipped my mind since I’ve been busy with you. I haven’t helped Jacob yet. Hurry now; [11 get you dressed first, then I look for I. Auntie Meg said.
I shook my head and smiled at her.
“No, go help | first, auntie! I don’t want him to dress up like a lown; everyone will laugh at him. And I don’t want his feelings more hurt. I had to bribe him with my stash back home in Crescent Haven if he promised he stopped sulking about me staying back.” I said.
Auntie Meg looked at me; I could see she was confused, but she didn’t need to be. I was a big girl, I knew the way to my room, and I could always take a bath until Auntie Meg came back.
“Go, Juntie! be fine. I’ll even go back in a few minutes and take a bath myself till you get back.” I said.
Auntie Meg let out a little sigh and nodded.
“Alright, but don’t fill the tub more than half and remember to wash behind your ears. Can’t have little bugs growing there now.” Said auntie Meg, as she bopped my nose with her finger and then went back into the palace to find I before he could create a disaster of an outfit.
1 stayed outside on the swing, going higher and higher. The air was rushing up to my face making me giggle. I couldn’t do this back in the school playground; all the girls would call me baby and make fun of me somehow, even if there wasn’t wrong with what I was doing. Even though I would miss ) and my family a lot when they leave, I was a little happy that Janet and her possie won’t be here to bully me anymore All the other scholarship kids would be like me, so I wouldn’t be called a freak when I knew the questions and answers. That part excited me, but even with all that, the thought of not having I around still outweighed the happy part.
Deciding that it had been long enough outside and that I should go take a bath, I slowed down the swing and eventually jumped off and landed on my feet when I knew the height wasnt too high anymore. Maybe if I practiced with the junior warrior class here, I could learn to jump from the swing when it was very high; that would definitely impress || a lot, he could jump from so high up, and he always landed on his feet perfectly. I knew once I grew up, he would be really strong.

probably the lead warrior of our pack. I knew he wanted that too. Then something hit me, and I smiled. I wanted to be -warrior, and I knew the kingdom had a warrior scholarship: the problem was I didn’t know what age it started from, but if it started from age nine, maybe I could convince Prince Kayden and Prince Jayden to give II a chance, I could even ask for Rex’s help; he and II were good friends now. 11 had told me earlier Rex was his favourite guy best friend now. I was a little Jealous, but I didn’t say anything: I wanted to be II’s only best friend.
