I screamed in excitement, making a run for the hallway but was stopped by prince Jayden.
Not so fast, Klara. Even though we showed you this, you aren’t allowed to come here.” Said, prince Kayden,
“But, but I just want to seel 1 whined,
“Sorry, little woll, maybe when you’re older.” Said, prince Jayden
I pouted. This was not fair!
“Don’t pout, little one! You’ll understand when you’re older.” Sa, prince Kayden
Before I could argue, a yawn escaped me that had the twins chuckle and close the bookshelf; it clicked back in place like it never moved…
“Come, little wolf. You must be tired. We’ll take you to your chambers.” Said, prince Jayden.
I huffed and just nodded. I didn’t want to talk to them! They didn’t let me see what was inside. Before I could walk down the stairs, the twins came and stood in front of me, then bent down to my level, giving me small smiles.
“Don’t be mad, Kiara! We have our reason; we promise to tell you when you’re older.” Said, prince Kayden
I looked away, crossing my arms over my chest.
“We’re promising you aren’t we, little one? Friends never break promises.” Said, prince Jayden.
That had me look at them and chew on my lips. He was right! Whenever I and II made a promise, we never broke it. They promised to give a tour tonight, and they did even though I knew my parents weren’t happy about it and the twins seemed tired. I sighed and pulled out my pinkie in front of them; they looked confused. See! Boys are dumb! Even II forgets all about pinkie promises.
“Hook your pinkie with mine. It’s a pinkie promise. That way, I know you arent lying and will tell me when I grow up.” I
said.
They laughed and hooked their pinkies with mine, promising that they would tell me one day. I smiled, a yawn coming out of me again as my eyes got heavy. Before I could even take a step, prince Kayden scooped me like a baby and led us down the stairs and towards my chambers. Then suddenly I remembered something.
“What about I?” I asked in a sleepy voice.
“He’s already in his room. Rex led him there.” Said, prince Kayden.
I just nodded, another yawn leaving me. The moment we reached my chamber’s door, prince Jayden opened it, but suddenly he let out a snarl that daddy does when he’s mad, which had me almost fall out of prince Kayden’s arms, but h held me tight.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Oh, um, nothing. I thought someone was in your bed, but that looks like your friend lacob.” Said prince Jayden, frowning

“Yeah, we’re going to have a sleepover! Rex said he would join go if he would.” I said, sleepy, smiling and wiggling in prince Kayden’s arms, telling him to let me down.
I was about to ask them if they wanted to stay too, but they quickly said goodnight and left, closing the door behind them with a thud. Huh? Maybe they had they had to pre? Boys are strange. Shrugging, I grabbed the clothes auntie Meg left for me on the bed and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and change. I was really sleepy too. Plus, I needed to rest if 1 wanted a castle tour from the outside tomorrow, Just as I changed into my pink onesie, I slid into bed next to II. As I was about to fall asleep, I heard 11 whisper.
“I’m going to miss you, Kiki, when you d
don’t come back with us. Please don’t forget me.” He said.
The moment he said that, realization dawned on me; after tomorrow, mom, daddy, my brothers, and I would all be leaving, and even auntie Meg and 1 wouldn’t be. But if they all have, who will be there to protect me from the mean girls, who will bake cookies for me and who will tell me I’m a prince? Who will help stock up my secret stash, and would even have a secret stash here? The thoughts brought tears to my eyes. Suddenly I didn’t want the scholarship anymore; I just wanted to be with my family.
