Chapter Thirteen: Party Part Two
Kiara, at age nine
Kiara POV:
I chewed on my nails as Rex’s mean babysitter, Emily, led us to Rex’s parents. When we were a few steps away from them, saw my parents, brothers, Rex’s parents and prince Kayden and prince Jayden standing there as well. They all looked at us as Emily bowed to Rex’s family and left us with them. All three of us similed on our feet, poking one another to say
something something so we wouldn’t get in trouble or, worse, grounded! I saw the luna queen open her mouth to say when I cut her off
“Please don’t be mad, luna queen; we only screamed because Rex said he would ask you guys to take away auntie Meg from us, so he didn’t need to deal with his mean babysitter, Emily. But, you can’t do that, please. Since we were born, Auntie Meg has been taking care of me and II. We’ll be very sad if you….” before I could complete what I wanted to say, I heard everyone chuckle at me.
Me, II and Rex looked at one another, confused; they were laughing, so that meant they weren’t mad, right?
“Child, calm down; no one is taking your babysitter from you. That isn’t why we called you, sweetheart. We wanted to ask you about something.” Said the luna queen.
I blushed in embarrassment! I saw Rex and I holding back their laughter, seeing me embarrassed red; I glared at them and pointed towards the princes, silently warning them I’d tell on them, which had both of them shutting up immediately. I smiled!
“I’m sorry, luna queen; I didn’t mean to be rude and cut you off before you started talking,” I said, looking down, kicking the imaginary pebble.
I hope mommy and daddy weren’t upset with me, they didn’t look like it when I heard them chuckle, but you couldn’t be too sure. Parents are weird! I heard the luna queen chuckle, then she held my chin, making me look at her. She was beautiful! I wish I could be a queen and as pretty as her; everyone would love me then!
“Your so pretty! Even more pretty than belle from beauty and the beast.” I said, then quickly covered my mouth with my hand. I had cut off the luna queen twice now; I was for sure getting grounded now, I thought she would be mad, but instead, I saw her smile and bend down to my level, removing my hand from my mouth.
“Not as much as you are, sweetheart.” She said, making me blush.
Mommy, daddy, the triplets and even II always said I was pretty but I always thought they said that because I was their princess, but if the luna queen also said it, that meant I really was pretty. But was pretty like cinderella or ariel?
“Thank you, your highness,” I said.
She smiled at me, ruffled my hair, and stood back up with the alpha king and princes. Ugh! She messed up when people ruffle my hair like I’m a little baby.

“Princess, the alpha king and luna queen, along with the princes, wanted to hear about all your achievements and the books you’re reading back at the pack library.” Said, daddy.

Chapter 18
The moment he said that I smiled! I loved telling people about my medals and the hooks I read. I never really listened because he didn’t understand, and mommy, daddy and the triples were usually busy, so sometimes they didn’t have time to listen. So whenever anyone asks, I get super excited. I smiled and nodded excitedly. I’ll even impress prince Kayden and prince Jayden like this, and they would always want to be my friend when they see how smart and strong I can be.
“Okay, so I’m reading this hook in the pack library about wolf biology; I know how the ten systems in the body function. and I know some muscles names, and 1 plan to memorize all of them by the end of the year; I’m also learning wolf history for the past thousand years, and once that’s done I’ll be moving monarch history then hopefully lycan history and biology, I’m also top of my class, and I’m also top of my warrior class, I even go to double physical training and help out other kids too. I know every self–defence move and some offence moves for three levels out of six,” I said, proud of myself.
