Chapter 8
From now on, they could find other joe, But they would no longer have any legitimate reason to continue avapuerading as the Parker family hairane.
“Emily, how do you have to much money?”
Sering me sorting through the donations, John Kinsley started counting the amounts aloud–tens, hundreds, farmusenvis, millions–his eyes widening in shock.
“So you really are the heiress of the Hope family. With that much money, you guarded yourself against me for three years in our relationship. Why didn’t you ever tell me?”
His tone turned resentful.
“Do you think I’m that untrustworthy? Emily Hope, you’ve been hiding this from me all along. That’s so hurtful!”
He thought saying such things would make me feel guilty.
Bes I simply smiled faintly.
Over the past three years, I never intentionally hid the truth from him. I always told him I was from the Hope family.
He just didn’t believe me.
He saw the cheap clothes I wore and the humble nanny van I drove, and he concluded that I was a pauper.
I couldn’t be bothered to explain further. After all, I never planned to marry him.
Besides, during those three years of dating, I was the one paying for everything.
John Kinsley had the audacity to call himself my ex–boyfriend?
He was nothing more than a man I kept as a plaything.
Realizing I was ignoring him, John quickly changed his tone, softening his voice as he trailed after me, trying to please me.
He looked exactly like a desperate lapdog.
Too bad I wasn’t interested anymore.
I didn’t respond to his attempts, nor did I outright reject him.
“Emily, now that you’ve seen John Kinsley’s true colors, you’re not seriously considering getting back togethe” with him, are you?” Jude Parker asked, her face full of concern.
At Hope Manor, I lounged lazily and laughed.

Chapter B
“Do you really think so little of me? After such a humiliating lesson, how could I ever go back to him?”
“You know me best I’ve never been dumped by anyone. He embarrassed me, and there’s no way I’ll let that go without getting my revenge.”
Jude immediately understood and exchanged a knowing smile with me.
When I returned to the Hope family estate, I hosted a grand banquet to announce my search for a live in husband,
“Have you heard? The Hope family heiress is looking for a live–in husband! And the requirements aren’t even that strict. You should go check it out!”
“Really? I’ve always heard that Miss Hope is stunningly beautiful and comes from such a prestigious family. If someone manages to win her favor, they’ll be set for life!”
“Of course! Just imagine how fierce the competition will be–probably tougher than the civil service exams or grad school applications!”
“And don’t forget, all the rich young men from Cloud City will be there. How could we ever compete with them?”
When John Kinsley overheard this news on the street, he panicked.
Without a second thought, he rushed over in desperation.
“Emily is my girlfriend!”
John Kinsley shoved everyone aside, pushing through the crowd to get to me.
“Emily, these men aren’t any good. Don’t let them deceive you–they’re only after your money!”
“I’m the only one who truly loves you!”
But I simply let out a cold laugh and signaled the bodyguards to throw him out.
“A pauper like you from the slums? You’re not even worthy to carry my shoes. Why would I ever want you?”
John’s face turned an angry shade of purple at my words.
But I felt utterly satisfied and didn’t bother paying him any attention.
Right in front of him, I chose a man who was better built and carried himself with far more confidence to be my new boyfriend.
After all, my parents had always told me that it didn’t matter if I never got married. They’d never pressure me, and I’d never run out of money to spend.
While my best friend enjoyed hiring male models for fun, I just wanted a steady boyfriend for myself.
Seeing me happily paired up with another man, John Kinsley was furious.

Chapter 8
He tried to stop me but ended up getting a beating from my bodyguards, leaving him with a bruised and swollen
face.
I turned to him with a sweet, mocking smile and said with a provocative tone,
“John, there’s something you might not have realized all this time.”
“The truth is, you’re pretty pathetic. My new boyfriend is way better than you in every way.”
