I smirked coldly,
“That’s true. I don’t deserve your son. But this wedding gift certainly does.”
With that, I clapped my hands again.
The staff behind me nodded, and in an instant, white paper money rained down from the ceiling, blanketing the
venue.
Everyone’s expressions turned sour.
But I wasn’t finished yet.
With a faint smile, I said, “It’s a wedding, isn’t it? How could there be no flowers to celebrate? Bring them all in.”
From outside, a group of workers carried in colorful funeral wreaths and arranged them throughout the wedding
hall.
“What–what are you doing?”
John’s mother was trembling with rage, and John’s face darkened in fury as he glared at me.
“Emily Hope, are you insane?”
“What kind of grudge do you have against me to go this far?”
Jude Parker, the bride, nearly fainted from anger, and John had to catch her in his arms, hurriedly administering
mouth–to–mouth resuscitation with a worried expression.
“Emily Hope, you did this on purpose to ruin the wedding, didn’t you? Do you have any idea of the Parker family’s
influence in Cloud City? How dare you disrupt the wedding of the Parker family’s eldest daughter? Are you tired of
living?”
As John ranted, the white paper money continued to fall from the ceiling, like a snowstorm burying the entire
venue.
I smiled coldly.
“This is five million worth of paper money and funeral wreaths. What do you think? Satisfied with my gift?”
John and his mother were livid, slapping their thighs and cursing at the misfortune.
They kept shouting about what kind of karma had brought this upon them.
The funny part was, this five million came from John’s mother herself.
In less than half an hour, the venue was devoid of any red festive decorations, entirely submerged in white.

To an outsider, it would’ve looked like a funeral was being held instead of a wedding
“Emily Hope, you vile woman!” John’s mother screamed,
“You were with my son for three years, but you’re nothing more than a discarded shoe! How dare you come here to cause trouble? Is this your revenge because you couldn’t win my son?”
“Do you really think the Kinsley family in Cloud City is someone you can mess with?”
“Even if the Kinsley family doesn’t intervene, you’ve dared to disrupt the Parker family’s wedding. Just wait and see how they deal with you!”
John’s mother sneered, her eyes glinting with malicious delight.
Unfortunately for her, her smugness wouldn’t last long.
I glanced at the time on my watch, then raised my gaze to the bride cradled in John’s arms. Narrowing my eyes, I
asked,
“Let me ask you one more time: are you really the eldest daughter of the Parker family, Jude Parker?”
Everyone knew Jude Parker was the beloved princess of the Parker Group, so much so that her parents gifted her a castle for her birthday.
The Parker family’s power was undeniable, which explained why John had jumped at the chance for this marriage
alliance.
But no one knew better than me that the woman in front of me was nothing more than a fraud.
Jude glared at me furiously.
“I’m not? Then are you? Do you even know the consequences of offending me?”
Talking about her supposed elite status, she once again lifted her nose arrogantly.
“My parents are famous for doting on me. Once, someone merely ruined my birthday cake, and their entire family disappeared from Cloud City.”
“Emily Hope, a pauper like you, dares to disrupt my wedding? Do you think you can walk away from this alive?”
“For the Parker family, crushing someone like you is as easy as squashing an ant…”
But before she could finish her sentence, a soft, melodic voice came from outside the door.
“Oh?”
“And what do you think will happen to you for daring to impersonate me so boldly?”
As the voice echoed through the hall, Jude’s face instantly turned ghostly pale.

“You… how can you be here? You’re supposed to be abroad!”

As she spoke, Jude walked over with a smile and looped her arm affectionately around mine.
