Xavier and I met once, and then we quickly

got married.

On the night we got our marriage license, I

packed my bags and moved into Xavier’s

house.

He lived on the top floor of a building in

downtown NYC.

I leaned against the floor-to-ceiling windows

in a silk nightgown, watching Xavier expertly

tie a Windsor knot.

He was flying overseas tonight for a project,

on our wedding night.

And he wasn’t sure when he’d be back.

We both silently avoided mentioning a

wedding ceremony.

Xavier was aloof and noble.

He looked at me with his deep eyes, his voice

magnetic and clear.

“Juniper, I’m sorry I can’t be with you on our

wedding night.”

He pulled out a black card, placing it on the

bar.

“Use this card as you please. It’s linked to my

main account. I’ll come back home to you as

soon as possible, okay?”

I looked at Xavier’s overly handsome face, my

eyes glancing over his broad shoulders,

narrow waist, and long legs.

Even if he couldn’t perform sexually, it was

nice to admire him.

I licked my lips and softly responded, “Okay.

Honey, I’ll wait for you at home. I hope your

project goes well.”

Xavier paused slightly, quickly adjusting

himself.

He nodded at me and hurried out the door

with his luggage.

Watching him leave, my lips instantly curled

into a wide smile.

Two weeks later was Summer and Blake

Whitlock’s wedding.

The wedding was on a small island.

Besides the business tycoons my parents

invited, half of the celebrities in the

entertainment industry were also invited by

Blake Whitlock.

After the wedding ceremony, I found it too noisy.

Г

I found a quiet corner to rest, avoiding the

banquet.

Summer, followed me, her face flushed with

happiness.

She pretended to be affectionate, taking my

hand and sweet-talking.

“Sis, are you happy after getting married?

…Oh, I forgot, Xavier can’t perform. I heard

that on the night you got your marriage

license, he dumped you and went abroad?”

“Ah, Blake loves me and cherishes me in his

palms, saying I’m his first love at first sight.

It’s just that he’s so rough that I can barely

handle it. It’s only our wedding day and he

couldn’t help himself… I could barely cover up

the marks.”

I twitched my lips, my eyes drifting to the

corner in front.

Blake was flirting with a young male star,

pinching his butt, and thrusting behind him.

I responded with a mocking smile, “Oh?

Really?”

Summer was as foolish and ignorant as ever.

I was looking forward to seeing her reaction

when she discovered the truth.
