Chapter 202
My vision is a little blurry. My headache has a pulse, and I feel so heavy. The doctor is checking my blood pressure and vitals. That was terrifying. How dare she say those things to me as if I needed her approval for anything. Stupid bitch.
What just happened is spinning out of control in my head. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before. When the visions come, they’re never like that. I don’t interact with anyone. They can’t see me, and they sure as hell don’t speak to me.
“Phoebe?” Knight rushes into the room with Elliot and Maria behind him. “Is she okay?”
“Her blood pressure is a little high, but I think it’s because she was on the verge of shifting. Your father took most of the damage,” Allison answers.
Was I really? I lost control. It was like when I had Alpha Tec in front of me. What can possibly be worse than the fate I was dealt at the hands of the peopte who raised me? And if that were the case, why did she have more children? Why did she abandon us all?
“I’m okay,” I say quietly.
“What happened?” Knight asks me worriedly.
“We were talking. Her eyes turned silver.” Allison says quietly. “I’ve never seen anything like that.”
“Can you guys give us a moment?” I ask.
“All of us?” Mr. Knightly asks.
“Yes, I need to talk to Nathan.” I lean forward, feeling the room
spin a little.
“Are you feeling sick?” Knight rubs my back. Maria closes the door behind her, leaving both of us alone. He sits beside me and all I want to do is curl up beside him and cry.
“Can you call Derek, please?” I ask. I feel like this is something he needs to hear as well. Since we are kind of the same.
“Yeah,” he pulls out his phone.
“Is Phoebe okay?” Derek asks as soon as he answers.
“Hey, something happened.” I take the phone.
“I felt it,” he says. “What was it? Who did you come into cont
with? Our connection gets stronger every time we meet.”
“You know about that?” I ask. Mr. Knightly hasn’t wanted to bring it up with him because it shows a vulnerability. What if he couldn’t do it and he got jealous that I could?
“Yeah, I thought you did, too. It’s why your training is going so well, right?”
“Yeah, I guess it is. Um, this was different.”
“How so?”

“Focus,” I growl at them. “This woman was in my head. Someone we know nothing about. She’s supposed to be dead.”
“Okay, We have to regroup. I don’t know what to tell you. That’s never happened to me. Is the baby okay?” Derek asks.
“Yeah,” I place my hand over my belly. “I’m going to get an ultrasound in a bit, but Midnight isn’t concerned. She’s spooked. Me too.”
“Okay, Thave a few things I need to finish off here. I’ll try to get Omen to come with me. I’ll see you guys in a couple of days. Please, please consider my offer for the nannies. I know you’re scared, but we need this. You’re under a lot of stress and it’s not good for the baby. Also, you’re in the pack now and we take care of our own.
