Chapter 1621
Everyone knew that a Rolls–Royce screamed status. Yes, it was outrageously expensive, the kind of price tag that made your head hurt just thinking about it. Nonetheless, that was exactly the point.
It had to be expensive, or it would not highlight the prestige and high–profile status of its owner.
These days, a car was not just transportation; it was your business card. People took one look at your ride and started sizing up your net worth without asking a single question.
While Andrew did not need a car to show off his status, Duncan was a businessman–a shrewd one at that. Hence, he definitely considered these things.
He said with a grin, “This second car, the pink Maserati, is perfect for a lady to drive! You can decide which of the three ladies gets it. This third car, the 911, is your personal ride, separate from the Rolls–Royce, which is more of a corporate vehicle!”
He continued, “A man like you should drive a 911. The beautiful lines, the elegance, the roar of the engine, plus that dominating and wild nature–absolutely perfect for your personality!”
As he spoke, Duncan gave a thumbs up, practically drooling as he went on and on.
Andrew chuckled. “Mr. Irving Senior, this is a bit much, don’t you think?”
Dungan shook his head and replied solemnly, “Sir, you’re the face of the Gabo Creek Chamber of Commerce now. To put it bluntly, you’re in the same league as Holtrien’s richest man! That means everything about you needs to be on point, down to the tiniest detail.”
Off to the side, Lauren, Francesca, and Aspen tried to keep a straight face. Their expressions were somewhere between awkward and amused. After all, Duncan was not even trying to hide how badly he wanted to win Andrew over, as it was written all over his
face.
Moreover, he did not even hold back on his compliments for Andrew at all.
As they thought about it, they realized he was not wrong for doing so. Even they had to admit that Andrew had truly earned the right to be praised like this.
Hell, he was legendary.
It had not even been long since Andrew moved from Jayrodale to Blumedale, a city full of hidden powerhouses, yet he had already climbed higher than anyone else. Looking around, no one else had achieved this. And from what they had heard, no one had ever been able to compare to Andrew.
“Finally, this Volkswagen Beetle is for Serenity Villa’s grocery runs–for the housekeeper to drive!” Duncan said, pointing to the last car with a smile, to wrap things up.
Francesca could not help but say, “Mr. Irving Senior, a Beetle is still a luxury car. Using it for groceries and having the housekeeper drive it seems a bit wasteful, doesn’t it?”
‘ale! And Mr. Duncan shook his head. “Ms. Aicker, it’s not wasteful at all, not one bit! Serenity Villa is the finest house in Bl Lloyd’s status and position speak for themselves! Having the household staff drive a Beetle is the bare minimu… requirement!”
He added, “If we went any lower, it would embarrass Mr. Lloyd, and we absolutely cannot allow that to happen!”
Francesca giggled and replied, “I don’t really understand these things, so whatever you say goes, Mr. Irving Senior!”
With a slight smile, Duncan bowed to Andrew. “Well then, Mr. Lloyd, I’ll take my leave now!”
Andrew smiled back and said, “Alright, take care, Mr. Irving Senior, and thanks for everything.”
With a beaming smile, Duncan returned to his own car and told his driver to head out. His heart was blooming with joy as this generous gift had been perfectly timed. He had also thoughtfully taken care of Andrew’s little beat–up car that Luna had dented.
Chapter 1621
He was already planning ahead. This time, he gifted luxury cars; next time, it would have to be a celebrity, and it would be someone from the B–list or above.
Only then would it truly show the Irving family’s devotion to Andrew.
