Natasha asked, “Darling, what about the other eight mercenaries? None of them are from Holtrien. If we kill them outright, could that stir up trouble with foreign powers?”
Andrew replied flatly, “Wipe them out. I don’t care where they came from–if they dared to step into Holtrien with a blade pointed at me, then I’ll be the one cleaning them up.”
With that, Reuben and Natasha struck again, ignoring the furious roars of the remaining mercs.
Just like before, the bodies were dumped into Blumedale’s foul drainage canals, unceremoniously discarded.
Soon after, the head of security for The Sovereign Residences–a fellow semi–martial king–rushed to Serenity Villa with his team in tow.
“Mr. Lloyd, I sincerely apologize. This incident only happened because we failed in our duty to protect you.”
He immediately launched into a stream of apologies.
Since Andrew was the legal owner of Serenity Villa, the hidden powers behind The Sovereign Residences were fully responsible for ensuring his safety at home.
If they could not even guarantee that, then the reputation of The Sovereign Residences–the most luxurious neighborhood in Blumedale–would be nothing but overpriced hype.
Andrew waved him off. “You don’t need to worry about my security anymore. In fact, starting now, pull your people out.”
The security chief was dumbfounded. “Pull my team? Mr. Lloyd… you’re joking, right?”
If his forces were removed, the entire Sovereign block would be thrown into chaos. Serenity Villa alone could be overrun by the waves of killers being sent one after another
Andrew said, “I’m not joking. Remove every one of your people. No more protection. That’s an order.”
The chief looked conflicted. “Mr. Lloyd, may I ask why you’d choose to do something that completely disregards your own safety?”
Andrew gave him a glance. “Your team has already proven to me that your protection is as good as useless. You couldn’t keep me safe, so your presence here is meaningless.”
The security chief did not take that well. He felt Andrew was openly looking down on his entire unit’s capabilities. But then, right on cue, he saw Natasha’s team carrying out a new batch of corpses, just like before.
His jaw nearly hit the floor. “Mr. Lloyd… you’ve already dealt with this many assassins?”
And not just that he had not even heard a whisper about any of this.
As the realization sank in, his face turned bright red with embarrassment.
Andrew did not need their help—he and his people had cleaned house on their own. It finally made sense to him why he wanted them gone. In Andrew’s eyes, they were just standing around collecting a paycheck.
The security chief silently acknowledged to himself that Andrew was clearly no ordinary man.

“Mr. Lloyd,” he said at last, his tone much more cautious, while I admit our lapse in duty, pulling out entirely could bring serious consequences for you.”
Andrew frowned. “Captain, I think you misunderstood my intent. The reason I want your team gone is simple. I want every last assassin to find me because only then can I wipe them out all at once.
“I don’t care how many come—I’ll keep killing until none are left. Now that you understand, can your people leave?”
His tone was calm, almost casual, yet the weight of it dropped like thunder.
The security chief and his entire team stood there, completely frozen.
This man wanted to let the killers in so that he could personally wipe them out. That confidence was simply unheard of.
At that moment, they could no longer tell who the predator or the prey was.
Was Andrew the target of a manhunt, or was he the one doing the hunting?
