“Why are you naked?” I ask Raven as she barges into my front door. I have been trying to gather things Damon’s mate may need, but I have no
idea what size she is.
“Because all of my clothing is in your home.”
“Okay, well, I am trying to get stuff together for Damon’s mate. Do you know what size she is?
“Shorter than me, bigger ass.
“My short?”

“That isn’t true. Cyrus told me about… never mind. I doubt she wants to hear about his Vegas sexcapades with short shifters.
“Alright, I am going to have the shop in town get her some things together while–you are getting dressed. Can you drive me to pick them up?”
“My car is in wherever the hell we were.”
“Oh wow. I’m surprised you left your baby.”
I’ll make him buy me another.”
Maybe get one larger this time.”
“They aren’t as fast.”
I pull out my phone to call the boutique Thane had gotten all of my items when I first arrived at the pack. “Yes, hello. This Luna Ayla…I’m great, thanks. I need you…no…no… no… no I don’t. No… no, not that either. I need…no it isn’t…”
Raven rips the phone from my hand, “Shut the hell up and listen. Once I return this phone to your Luna’s hands, you will let her speak, and if you do not, I will personally come to your store and cut your hands off.”
Raven hands the phone back to me, and I blink a few times as I bring it back to my ear, clearing my throat. “Yes, hi. I need emergency clothing for a new she–wolf to the pack. She is probably 5’6-5’8 and she is….” I look to Raven for confirmation of my guess and repeat the words she mouths to me. “Fit with a big..I mean voluptuous backside. Her shirt size is probably a…. big…. no, I mean round….Just try medium, and I need undergarments, toiletry items, and the softest blanket you have. I need everything ASAP..yes, thank you. Bye.”
“What happened up there? You know what….maybe get dressed and then tell me.”
“Why? If you are jealous of my curves, just say so. Thane’s right, there are two of Cyrus.
Raven returns later, showered and dressed with her hair on top of her head. “How do we get there to pick it up and take it to her?”
“Just call your driver.”
‘I don’t have one.”
‘Is there a vehicle here?”
“Thane’s motorcycle.”

“What is it?‘ Raven asks like I would, actually know.
“It is in the middle of winter, and I am pregnant, is what it is.”
“I have been naked this whole time, you will be fine.”
“No….nonononono. NO. There is no way Thane will want me on the back of his bike, holding bags in the winter, and Raven driving.
“Wait, how did you get here?”
‘I stopped someone on the road and made them give me a ride from the pack house.”
“You got into a car naked with a shifter you did not know and made them drive you here?”
‘No, I’m not that stupid. I had them drop me off away from here, and I walked the rest of the way. I don’t know who knows you’re out here.”
“Don’t tell Cyrus, or he will kill everyone.”
“I got an idea.”
“What is it?” I ask, hoping it is a sane one.

“Who?”
“Rhonda.”
“Who is Rhonda?”
“Larry the car salesman’s mom.”
“Oh no. Thane told me I’m supposed to stay away from her. He told me she was a pervert.”
“Yeah, that’s why she is going to give us a ride.”

“Rhonda, this is Luna Ayla. I need a favor.”
“What do you want me to teach you, honey?”
“What? No…no. Not that..not..wait….what? No, a favor. Not a lesson. I need a ride.”
“That sounds like a lesson.”
“No, I need you to come somewhere and pick Raven and me up and take us into town and then to the pack house. Can you do that?”
“Is Raven Cyrus‘ mate?”
“Yes.”
Is Cyrus with you two?”
“I don’t know what to say. She wants to know if Cyrus is with us.”

“Tell her yes. Rhonda probably thinks she is going to get in on some freaky shit.”
‘What if she doesn’t want to take us if I say he is, because she is fearful for her life? She wanted to join in with you two, remember?
“Then lie.”
“Cyrus is with us.”
“I will be right there, honey.
“She said she will pick us up, thinking he is with us.”
“Told you.”
“Well, let me change and we can walk somewhere down the road and tell her where to go.”
Minutes later, we are standing by a stop sign at an intersection not far from our home. A SUV pulls up, and the window rolls down.
“Larry?” Raven questions.
“Who else? Mom can’t drive. He nods his head to the she–wolf in the front.
“I never felt like learning. I thought Cyrus was with you?” Rhonda asks, sounding disappointed.
“He had an emergency. Technically not a lie.
“Get in, get in. I am not going to be responsible for anything happening to you all.” Larry gestures with his head back, and we climb into his vehicle.
“Where to?” Larry asks.
“We need to go to my chic boutique and then to the pack house.” I answer as I buckle in.
“Mom, you said this was an emergency, not a shopping trip. Larry grumbles.
“Anything your Luna asks of you is an emergency,” Raven interjects sternly.
“It is an emergency. There was a she–wolf brought in without anything.”
“That is an emergency. I’ll speed up.”
“So, Raven. I have not seen you since you were naked, attempting to sit on Cyrus‘ face in the hallway. Tell me, how was it?” Rhonda asks as Larry curses, and I choke on my spit.
*I do not remember much from my heat Rhonda, but I am sure it was as good as it always is when I ride his face like I am riding a horse…he is hung like one too, before you ask.” I bury my face in my hands, blushing from head to toe and mortified at the same time.
“Oh for crying out… Larry starts, but his mom/interrupts.
“Ooooohhhh I knew it. I had a feeling about him. I’m so happy for you two. Does he plan on sharing?”
‘MOM!” Larry yells.
“What?” Rhonda answers, beside herself and having no idea what she is even doing to him.
‘I will rip the throat out of any shifter that touches what is mine, and he feels the same way. So I beg you, Rhonda, do not try.”

“Did you just threaten my mother? Larry growls at Raven, locking eyes with her in the rearview mirror.

“MOM!” Larry turns, yelling at his mother, and she shows him her fang with a little snarl on her face.

“Why is there so much nausea down the bond? Are you throwing up? I’ll be right there.” Thane mind–links me.
“No, it isn’t from the pup.”
“What is it from? Did you eat something that upset your stomach?”
“Larry’s mom.”
“Damn it, Rhonda. Wait, why are you with Rhonda?”
“We didn’t have a way to get into town to pick up things for Damon’s mate.”
“So you’re hitchhiking?”
“No, that was Raven. We got a ride from Rhonda.”
