Leave My Sister Alone
Thane
“I have no current info on who Stevens is talking to within the pack. It is more difficult to trace but Triad Groups brothel is situated 3.5 hours away from here on a piece of neutral territory. They got it approved through the neighboring packs.” Tyler gives us an update in the war room. Neutral territory can have anything on it. If it is approved by neighboring packs and we do not happen to be one of them. We can all use them if we follow the rules.
Namely no murder and no pack bullshit on the land.
“We can assume that if they are selling girls out of there then we need to link them to anyone in this pack. Right now, we don’t know if they are or aren’t.” Tyler continues and I turn to Damon, going over the pros and cons of sending him.
Cyrus thinks he will blow his cover the first time he sees someone spit on the floor. I do not necessarily think that is true. Damon likes cleanliness and there isn’t anything wrong with that.
We all should.
I think the issue to Cyrus is how he reacts to it sometimes. Sometimes he can ignore things and sometimes he will clean an entire room because of something small that could have been managed with a paper towel. What Cyrus knows is that Damon grew up in another pack.
He does not know Damon grew up in a hoard home.
Damon’s mother was a big–time hoarder. I don’t know why. Not my business. He hasn’t willing shared specifics of his mother or living situation, and I won’t force him to. I could dig in my father’s records, but I do not feel the need to violate his privacy like that.
My father accepted his pack transfer in our teen pup years. He came here to live with a great aunt of his. It was a blessing for him that he did. Damon was shy for awhile and I remember that he didn’t seem comfortable with too many of the common basic amenities for a while.
Probably because he did not have them.
“We are sending Damon in. If he could not go, I would call off the whole thing because I’m not bringing any others into this. We do not know who to trust, so we trust no others outside of our circle. Don’t even start with m Cyrus.” I cut my eyes at him.
He is on thin ice after I went to the kitchen to get Ayla water at 2AM and found him making a sandwich, naked, with a face mask on with weird foam things in his hair. “Curl Training,” he called it something they apparently do together now. Who freaking knows.
I want my house back.
“I wasn’t going to say a thing about him being a neat freak. I was going to say he’s so pretty they will probably put him on a stage.” Well, he’s not a liar. Damon, has light brown, messy hair, blue eyes that for some reason, are almost clear, High cheekbones, a strong jaw, perfect teeth and he’s tall and muscular with abs. Damon really is quite pretty, except his boyish smile only has one dimple.
From what I understand about how dimples work, that would cut his she–wolf sex appeal in half.
“You mad your sister was sitting on my pretty face this morning?” Damon turns toward Cyrus, a huge smile on his face and I know the two of them are about to start slinging insults which could last all damn day.
“Don’t you dare talk about my sister mutt.” Cyrus half growls at Damon.
“You don’t have a damn sister!” I interject. Rubbing my temples already feeling my evening Cyrus headache start.
“We don’t know that!” Cyrus yells as he points his finger at Damon aggressively.
Point made. Sad but also a valid point. His mom was….well…she had a lot of boyfriends. It is possible he has siblings out there she gave away, but I doubt it.
“You can’t get mad about me lapping up your invisible sister.”
“Can and will.” Cyrus shifts in his chair, turning away from Damon like that move concludes the argument.

Leave My Sister Alone
“Enough.” I conclude the arguments. I am Alpha after all.
“Damon will run surveillance. Become a regular then dig deeper. Hide your pack mark just in case and take one member of your team you. Have whoever you take pretend to be your guard or something.”
“Won’t it be suspicious that I’m not partaking in the clientele?‘ Damon has a point.
“Who says you can’t?” Cyrus interrupts, scoffing.
“I’m not paying for hookers Cyrus.” I don’t know why I bother. Can he even step up and take over the pack if I take my role? I guess he doesn’t have a reason to buy hookers and hasn’t ever needed to.
“Damon use the night to think up a cover. Tap into Tyler as a resource if needed. I trust that you will pull it off. I will get you a room and see about leasing something flashy from Larry.” I visibly see Cyrus shudder, no doubt thinking of Rhonda.
“Do we have anything of significance from Kian’s apartment?” I ask Damon for an update. His team went there yesterday.
“It is as filthy as his bar. He has chicken scratch notes about payments from Della. Kian was paid per visit. Stupid shit like that. We are still waiting for the analysis of the rest, but so far there are ties to the Triad Group but nowhere else.” Not the smoking gun for which I was hoping.
“Well, I at least appreciate knowing that they are not connected, even though they are dead. RIP neither of them.” Cyrus kicks his feet up on the table which would piss a normal Alpha off, but I understand the comfort behind it. It also helps me think and most importantly, I’m not an ass.
That is debatable.
“Have we ruled out that Stevens doesn’t have any weird distant relatives here or ties that aren’t malicious?” Damon kicks his feet up on the table as well. The three of us in our apparent shared thinking poses.
“I highly doubt it. I cannot think of a single shifter here that has ever been related to that pack. Raven will be the first.
“Yeah, my baby is bringing in that new bloodline.” Cyrus wiggles his eyebrows up and down and I just stare off into space, thinking about all possibilities here. Aside from DNA testing a thousand wolves, I cannot realistically rule it out.
“That’s all we need is a pack of crazy, red headed Alpha’s blowing shit up.” That thought makes me shudder in fear for the damage they could do.
“Give me some credit, my hair is black. Way more likely to dominate the gene pool.”
“How long should we take on this brothel?” Damon asks, sitting up and wiping the top of the table off furiously where his boots were.
“A week, two. That usually turns to two, or three. Use your judgment. Trust your instincts. Pull out immediately if you need to. Update me daily.” I need to get out of here; I have a date planned for Little Wolf and everything needs to be perfect.
“We need to wrap this up. I have places to be tonight.” I say as we collectively pull our legs off the table.
“You two need me to chaperone tonight?” Cyrus asks as I stand and walk toward the door, they can linger all they want. I have to prepare.
“Not now, not ever.” I grumble, walking out of the room. Cyrus quickly follows behind.
“Oh, come on. Double date sounds fun.” Cyrus grasps my shoulder, just looking to push my buttons. He lives for this shit.
“No Cyrus. Not tonight.” No, this is going to be another first.
“Be home by curfew. I will wait up for you.” Cyrus arches his eyebrow at me and nods as I turn toward him backing out of the door.
