I AM STABBING
Ayla
“Are you sure that is how you do it?” I hold up my knitting needles, the yarn looking more like a tangled–up mess rather than the start of my scarf.
Apparently, Raven can knit, although I am questioning the validity of that right now.
“Yes, listen and watch.

“You’re not strangling it correctly because you mean it. STAB, STAB, STAB.”
you’re
not stabbing correctly. It’s throwing off where it starts. It is uneven. You have to stab like you
“I AM STABBING!” I turn, yelling at her.
“STAB HARDER!” She yells back at me.
“STAB IT, STRANGLE IT, RIP ITS FREAKING GUTS OUT AND THROW THIS SHIT OFF OF A CLIFF.” I yell back.
“Better.” Oh, well glad I finally earned her approval in this endeavor.
“Maybe this should be a practice scarf?” I hold up my little square box that looks like it
“Probably.” She laughs at me and continues stabbing and killing with her yarn.

“No. You’re also an omega, I think you’re always bitches in heat, aren’t ya?”
“Gee….thanks.” I dead pan and she laughs.
I were to go!
“Well, Thane and I were thinking that we needed a plan for our pup once he’s born. If I to go into heat soon,
where would we send him and the logistics of that. Anyway, we were hoping you and Cyrus could help out…” I trail off, Raven stopped her death square, looking up with wide
eyes.
“You trust us to watch your kids? I’m not sure if that is a compliment or the dumbest thing I have ever heard.” Raven says in complete shock, maybe I should second guess my decision here.
“Well, in your defense, Thane said he only trusted you two to keep it alive and fed.”
“I would agree with that.” She nods.
“So, you two can help us?” I ask, hopeful, but also not sure if I should be if she’s second guessing it herself.
“Well, I mean yeah if you two trust us. I don’t really like pups though, they kind of gross me ou

“Oh, well…congratulations on that. An eternity of banging would be fun….speaking about that…..” I leave the rest of my question waving invisibly in the air as I take a drink of my water from a mug, I had made that says ‘spew cup‘ on the outside of it, reminding me of my car ride
with Raven.
“He has a monster and acts like one in bed. Anything else you want to know?” She arches her eyebrow, and I spit the water out of my mouth, covering my chain–link scarf square with the water as it sits on the coffee table.
“No…” I cough. “No….no…that’s…good. I’m happy for you.” I cough a few more times as I choke on the remnants of my water.
“Stab it, strangle it, rip out its guts, throw it off a cliff..” Raven starts again, satisfied I’m not drowning. “Stab it, strangle it, rip out its guts,
out its guts, throw it off a cliff..” throw it off a cliff..“, “Stab it, strangle it. rin
“What are you making?” The yarn is a soft black and red woven together. The red peeks through in random places. It is quite pretty.
“Well, I obviously need to make that critter in your belly a blanket that will smell like us so it’s more comfortable with Cyrus and I when we have to fuss over it while you make another one. Just imagine you two banging like rabbits…how many snow–white pups are going to shoot out of that oven….”
I threw my head back laughing hard at the visual of what she was saying, starting to manifest.
“You’re really making me a baby blanket?” I asked shocked that she started that even prior
“Well, somebody has to. Have you seen your square? It’s hideous.”
“It’s more of a triangle really…”
“Do you
want a triangle shaped blanket?”
“Well, no.” I really don’t know what we are even talking about at this moment.
“Then it’s a square.”
“That makes no sense.” I’m beyond confused, and it shows.
“I know.” She answers, confusing me more.
“Are you making me a blanket?” I asked her again, louder this time.
“Yes.”
“Alright then….thank you.” I say as I watch her pick back up her knitting needles.

“You’re welcome….now start over…“Stab it, strangle it, rip out its guts, throw it off a cliff..”
me questioning her to help when I go into heat.
“Stab it, stran……” I don’t get to finish my mantra because I see Raven lunge for me with her knitting hook in hand.
I immediately turn while throwing out my shield. Raven is within seconds from smaking into it but abruptly stops herself from making contact within a fraction of a second, due to her speed.
“What are you DOING Raven.” I pant out loudly as my shield remains swirling between us.
“I’m testing your reflexes….training remember. Thane said I’m supposed to train you remember?”
“Well, a little warning next time!” I let the shield down, trying to catch my breath. “That scared me.”
Villains don’t give you a heads–up Ayla. They pop us out of nowhere, where you least expect them to. You never see them comin
“I hate that you’re right.” I grumble.
“I’m always right.”

I sit here watching Raven knit as I follow the steps, slowly getting the hang of it. “This isn’t too bad. I think I’m getting the hang of it.”
“Speed up your gut ripping.”
“Okay, speeding up gut ripping.
“Good, good.” She nods as she restarts knitting the blanket for our pup. The whole idea of this little family I have now warms me and stirs something deep within me. There aren’t enough words to describe the feeling I have about it.

I sit up straighter knitting and chanting and chanting and knitting, when I notice that Raven’s t become ppl w z z
“Raven, I think you’re close to your heat.”
“I know. I don’t want to talk about it.”
“There isn’t any reason to be scared. He will take good care of you. It will be amazing.”
“I’m not afraid, I just don’t want to talk about my heat because that will lead to thinking about my heat and that could speed up the mindless sex–crazed she–wolf state, which sounds like a good time, but Cyrus isn’t here and you can’t drive.
“Good point, but I think I can drive now. I have watched everyone enough that I think I have figured it out. Although thinking about it reminds me of when Monica tried to teach me to drive annnnnnnnnndddd now I’m sad.” I sniffle and frown, missing my friend.
“Stab it, strangle it, rip out its guts, throw it off a cliff…..then you won’t think about it. Picture the face of the wolf you want to stab.” Raven suggests. Do I want to stab any shifters?
I could think of one. I’m not sure I want to think about his face though.
I tightened my grip on the needles, stabbed Mikhail right in his eye and I strangled him with a rope of his guts before tearing the rest out and kicking his body off the edge of my mental cliff.
“That does make me feel a tad better.” I admit.
“Good, this time do all the movements with more anger.”
