The violent impact caused the car to shake violently, and Amelia lost her balance, falling into Landon’s waist/area with her face down.

“We’re fine, but the car needs repairs,” Aaron said.
The man smiled and handed over a check. “I’m sorry, but I have urgent matters and can’t delay. Here’s the cost of the repairs.”
‘Goodness, three hundred thousand dollars. That’s enough to buy a luxury car. He really is generous,’ Amelia thought and couldn’t help but glance at the
man again.
The man also happened to look at Amelia. “Miss, you look familiar. Have we met before?”
“No,” Amelia replied, feeling a bit awkward. She thought, ‘This pickup line is so cliché.‘
Aaron sensed the man’s intention as he said, “This is Mrs. Kingsley.”
“Oh, Mrs. Kingsley, nice to meet you.” The man immediately changed his address, displaying gentlemanly manners in every gesture.
Aaron added, “The Kingsley family doesn’t ext

“Alright.” The man rewrote the check.
Aaron took it, and the two vehicles parted ways.
Landon’s car was only slightly dented at the rear, so there was no need to change cars.

Landon thought helplessly, ‘I didn’t agree at all. She is trying to outsmart me. Unfortunately, going there will only bring her more sadness. Kea Lane is no longer the same. The house where Debra lived has long been demolished and replaced by a café.
‘Even I can’t find any trace of Debra’s life here, let alone her. This trip was just meant to help her let go.”
Amelia arrived at Kea Lane, according to the navigation, where tall buildings crowded the skyline, and traffic was bustling. She stood on the street in a daze, feeling lost.
Diana had said that Debra used to live in a bungalow, but there were no bungalows left anymore.
‘So I can’t find even a trace of my mother?‘ Amelia thought sadly, on the verge of tears.
“Mrs. Kingsley.” A familiar voice called to her gently.
Amelia looked up and saw the man she had encountered at the service area earlier, Daniel. He walked toward her in the fading light of the sunset, -handsome with a noble aura, looking like a deity.
Amelia quickly wiped her tears and forced a smile. “Hello, Mr. Zuckerberg.”
“Why are you crying?” Daniel asked, looking at Amelia, whose eyes were red but still trying to maintain a smile. He found it amusing, thinking, ‘The wife of Norava’s richest man is such an adorable young lady. The Kingsley family’s taste is quite impressive.”
“I was just a little sentimental,” Amelia replied, her smile turning even more bitter. She almost cried out. After living a second life, she knew how things would happen and had rarely shed tears over her past experiences.
But tonight, standing in the place where Debra once lived, Amelia found no trace of Debra’s existence, and she longed to cry her heart out.
Amelia thought, ‘No wonder Walter and Melissa wouldn’t tell me where my mother’s grave was, even facing going to prison. They already knew this place. had changed beyond recognition, and I wouldn’t be able to find it. That means I have to go to them for answers.

“Are you lost?” Daniel asked gently, like a caring older brother.
Amelia felt unable to build a wall against him as she choked out, “Yes, I can’t find my childhood home.”
“You used to live here?” Daniel’s eyes brightened suddenly. “Do you remember the people here? There was a beautiful woman from out of town!”
“I don’t remember. I don’t remember anything.” The bitterness in Amelia’s heart turned into tears and fell down her cheeks. “I don’t even remember my own mother.”
Covering her face, she crouched down, and her sobs turned into heart–wrenching cries.
Daniel never expected his question would make Amelia so upset. He felt guilty and crouched down beside her, softly coaxing, “Is there anything I can do for you? I’m very good at finding people.” Although he himself had never found the person he was looking for.
“No, no one can help me,” Amelia sobbed into the evening breeze. “My mother passed away over ten years ago.
Daniel frowned slightly, “I’m sorry. I…”
“It has nothing to do with you.” Amelia looked up, her face streaked with tears. “Thank you for keeping me company. Otherwise, I would be too miserable to be here alone.”
Daniel chuckled softly, taking a fresh look at Amelia, thinking, ‘She is dignified and beautiful, exuding an excellent upbringing. She must come from a wealthy family, so she could marry Landon. But how could Landon allow her to wander alone on the street crying?”
“By the way, are you also here looking for someone?” Amelia asked, wiping her tears.
Daniel nodded. “I’m also here looking for my mother, too.”
