“Amelia, we think Landon might be at the Kyle Estate,” Daniel said in a low voice, careful not to let the Kyle family overhear.
Amelia’s expression shifted dramatically. “Are you serious?”
Thad no idea that place was actually the Kington Gang’s headquarters,” Daniel said.
“Then why didn’t they use Landon to bargain for Aiden?” Her voice trembled as the color drained from her face.
She couldn’t shake the fear building inside her, maybe Landon was already dead.
“Maybe they just don’t know,” Daniel said, patting the back of her hand. “Aiden calls all the shots. Now that he’s down, who else would know what’s really going on?”
Amelia felt a bit more at ease. “That makes sense. Anyway, Aiden is in our hands. Once he’s safe, we can trade him for Landon.”
Daniel paused, his eyes narrowing mysteriously. “Maybe we won’t even have to ask, they might come to us first for the exchange.”
“Well, too bad… There’s no cure for that poison,” Amelia said, her brows knitting in worry.
Daniel’s eyes went wide in shock, he was completely floored. ‘Wait, was she actually planning to kill Aiden?”
Then, Jonas scratched his head awkwardly and said, “We didn’t have much to work with and only three days to make it. So yeah, the poison was honestly kind of rough.”
“Did I just create a huge mess?‘ Daniel wondered anxiously.
“This… this was Mrs. Kingsley’s idea,” Jonas muttered, trying to deflect the blame.
“Yeah, I wanted to kill him and end the threat once and for all,” Amelia admitted, rubbing her forehead in regret.
She realized she had made it all seem far too simple. But now that it was done, there was no turning back.
“It’s fine. We’ll figure something out. There has to be a way to keep the Kington Gang under control,” Daniel said, trying to sound calm even though panic gnawed at him inside.
The Kyle family’s estate being the Kington Gang’s headquarters changed everything. Aiden’s parents weren’t just wealthy, they were crime lords.
If Aiden died, the gang would go berserk.
Even with the Flying Tiger Gate involved, this wasn’t going to blow over anytime soon.
“Actually, I still want to kill Patrick,” Amelia said out of nowhere.
Daniel blinked, then let out a surprised laugh, gently patting her hand. “Are you my little sister, huh? All grown up and talking about murder.”
“If you don’t pull out the weeds by the root, they just grow back,” Amelia said with a small, bitter smile.
Landon always said she was too soft.
She had spent years trying to toughen up, to be more like him. But she was never as ruthless.
If she had finished off Sandra earlier, Aiden never would’ve targeted her, and none of this chaos would’ve happened.
Daniel pulled her out of her thoughts. “You must be tired. Just get some sleep. We’ll be home soon.”

Amelia leaned her head on his shoulder and finally let herself rest, slipping into a deep, quiet sleep.
A few rows behind them, Paloma sat with the butler and several others.
Surrounded by a bunch of anxious servants, she was the only one who looked totally at ease.
Finally, they arrived in Lunova.
A large group of Zuckerberg family guards was waiting at the airport. The butler was so worried he could barely blink as he asked, “Miss Edwards, we’ve brought you back safe and sound. Now that you’re safe, can you let Mr. Kyle go?”
“Yeah, but… there’s a bit of a problem,” Amelia said. “The poison in Aiden’s body is kind of out of control now.”
“What?” the butler yelped, his hand flying instinctively to his waist, only to realize his gun wasn’t there.
Nusmin law strictly forbade bringing firearms into the country.
At that moment, his phone rang.
Amelia watched him answer with the utmost respect, instantly guessing who was on the other end. It had to be Eddie Kyle, Aiden’s father.
Amelia felt her own nerves tightening.
Anyone powerful enough to lead the Kington Gang wasn’t just some average man. She couldn’t help but wonder what he was planning now.
After hanging up, the butler’s face looked like he’d just swallowed a mouthful of crap.
He leaned in and whispered something to Paloma.
“No! I want to stay with him,” Paloma said, her voice gentle but firm, making it clear she wouldn’t take any order.
The butler’s face grew even more sour. “Miss Paloma, please don’t make things difficult for me.”
“Yeah, I’m making things hard for you, so what are you gonna do about it?” Paloma scoffed.
The butler was left speechless.
Amelia had to bite her lip to keep from bursting out laughing. ‘Even someone as sweet as her has a rebellious streak. Must be a Kingsley thing.”
“We should be thinking about how to get Aiden home safe,” Paloma reminded him.
The butler hesitated for a while, then gave up trying to talk Paloma out of it.
He walked over to Daniel. “Mr. Zuckerberg, you’d better make sure Mr. Kyle comes out of this unharmed. If anything happens to him, the Kington Gang will wipe your whole family off the map!”
“You already made enemies with the Flying Tiger Gate, so of course you’d have the guts to go after the Zuckerbergs.” Daniel sneered. “Relax, Aiden isn’t going to die.”
“Then why hasn’t he woken up yet?” the butler pressed.
“Because he’s too weak, of course. His body just couldn’t handle the poison,” Daniel replied curtly.
The butler was so shocked he could barely form words.

He looked far more masculine like this than he ever did when he was crossdressing.
The butler’s irritation spiked just at the sight of him. ‘So many people around, and not a single one with common sense!
“Leave it to me. But first, you all better get ready to hand over Landon,” Jonas said, putting on a brave face.
Deep down, though, he was clueless.
The datura poison was his own creation, he knew exactly how potent it was.
However, the poison Amelia had on her was made by his master, Jonas had no clue about its formula or effects
Luckily, Aiden wasn’t going to die just yet, so Jonas still had time to seek out his master for help.
The only problem was, he wasn’t even sure the master would agree to see him.
“Mr. Meyers!” The butler gritted his teeth in anger, barely able to hold back his fury.
“Yeah, I know the Kington Gang could crush the Meyers family anytime they want. So go ahead, bring it on!” Jonas retorted.
The butler had no words.
Joanna Meyers had the direct protection of the Kington Gang boss himself, no one would dare mess with her family.
“I’m tired. Go arrange a hotel for us,” Paloma suddenly ordered.
Even outside the estate, she still acted like the spoiled princess she was, expecting everything to be handed to her on a silver platter.
The butler sighed and went off to make the arrangements for their accommodation and meals.
Amelia wanted to ask Paloma if she wanted to go back to the Zuckerberg family’s house with her, but the words caught in her throat.
‘Forget it. Revealing my true identity right now wouldn’t be good for anyone,‘ she thought.
Then, Amelia glanced at Paloma, concern softening her voice. “We’ll try to neutralize the poison in his body as soon as we can.”
She wondered if her words would upset Paloma.
But to her surprise, Paloma remained calm. “I’ll look into what you said about Landon being at my house.”
“Good,” Amelia said, jaw clenched. “In the end, it will be life for a life.”
For Landon, she would do everything in her power to make the antidote.
However, if it was already too late, she would make sure Aiden paid for it with no hesitation, no mercy.
Paloma left with the Kyle family entourage, while Amelia was brought back to the Zuckerbergs‘ estate under heavy protection.
The old courtyard had that distinct Lunova charm. This was where her mother had once lived.
As Amelia stood before the stone lions guarding the gate, a swell of emotion hit her like a wave.

“Daniel!” Maisie’s voice followed.
