Chapter 205
Amelia calmly handed the peeled apple to Aiden. “Here’s your peace and safety, just like you wanted”
“Thanks!” Aiden felt like he was floating on air. It was the very first gift he’d ever gotten from Amelia. Sure, it was just an apple, but she’d peeled it for lar herself.
Amelia’s heart was in her throat–she was so nervous that she could barely breathe.
“Peace and safety, great fortune and prosperity!” Aiden took a big bite of the apple without a second thought.
‘It worked!‘ Amelia was overjoyed.
Now, all she had to do was wait…
“Hey, you’re wearing a ring today?” Aiden noticed the ring on Amelia’s finger and frowned.
It didn’t take a genius to figure out that Landon must have given it to her.
But she never wore it before. Aiden thought, ‘Is she really putting it on today just to disgust me?‘
Aiden’s mood soured instantly, and he lost his appetite for the apple. “Amelia, you did this on purpose, didn’t you?”
“Huh?” Amelia played dumb.
“Why are you wearing that?” Aiden pointed at the ring, his tone low and a bit menacing.
Amelia just gave a faint, confident smile, idly spinning the ring on her finger. “It’s my own jewelry. I’ll wear it however I like. Do I need your approval?”
Not exactly either. Aiden found himself at a loss for words.
“Mr. Kyle, I’m not your possession. If you really can’t stand the sight of me, you might as well just get rid of me.”
Without missing a beat, Amelia slipped her hand under the table so the ring wouldn’t draw Aiden’s attention again.
She looked him straight in the eye, calm as ever.
Once one stopped being afraid, nothing could touch them.
Sure enough, Aiden lost again. He took a fierce bite of the apple in frustration.
“Aiden, how’s that apple taste?” Paloma covered her mouth, giggling secretly.
Aiden looked aggrieved. “Paloma!”
“I’ve got a raw yellow diamond. I’ll fish it out later and get it made into a ring for you,” Paloma said.
“Fine,” Aiden gritted his teeth.
The ring Landon gave Amelia looked utterly cheap Aiden was determined to get her a yellow diamond ring that screamed luxury and was worth a fortune.
Aiden pressed his fingers to his brow.
He was so angry that his head buzzed, and even his body felt numb.
Before he could even finish being mad, Aiden suddenly collapsed to the floor, out cold.
Chapter 205
“Mr. Kyle!”
The people nearby all gasped in shock, and the lively party came to an abrupt halt.
Jonas quickly helped Aiden up and snapped coldly, “Don’t move!”
“W–what’s going on?” the butler asked, panicked. “Dr. Meyers, is Mr. Kyle okay?”
Jonas sneered and yanked off his wig and the fake padding on his chest.
“Wait, you’re a guy?”
The whole room was stunned.
Amelia stood up, her voice icy. “We’ve poisoned him. If any of you try anything, he’s as good as dead.”
The room instantly went dead silent, only the sound of breathing remained.
Everyone stared at them in utter disbelief- Aiden had actually been poisoned in his own home.
If word got out, it would be a huge embarrassment for the Kington Gang.
But right now, Aiden’s safety was the top priority.
“Ms. Edwards, what is it you want?” Paloma asked.
Other than Aiden, she was the one who really called the shots in this family.
Her voice was unhurried and calm–so composed that it actually caught people off guard.
Amelia locked eyes with her and said, “Let us go back.”
“Alright,” Paloma agreed without hesitation. “As long as you don’t hurt Aiden, I’ll take you to the airport myself.”
“Airplanes can get shot down too. You’ll have to get us all the way to Lunova,” Amelia said.
This time, Paloma hesitated.
The butler said, “Miss Kyle, should we tell Mr. and Mrs. Kyle about this?”
“No need,” Paloma said, raising her hand to stop him. “Ms. Edwards just wants to go home. She’s not going to hurt Aiden.”
The butler looked even more worried. “But if we let her go, Mr. Kyle’s going to be mad as hell when he wakes up!”
“Mad? That’s still better than him losing his life,” Paloma just smiled.
Amelia and Jonas glanced at each other, totally baffled
With everything going down like this, how could Paloma still manage to smile?
Jonas said, “Do you know about the Flying Tiger Sect? I’m their poison master.”
Everyone’s expression changed instantly.
Amelia was shocked. Only people from the Kington Gang truly understood just how terrifying the Flying Tiger Sect was.
It turned out the entire Kyle Estate was packed with Kington Gang members.
Amelia quietly swallowed, secretly relieved that sometimes ignorance really was bliss. If she’d known the truth, she might never have dared to knock

Chapter 205
Aiden out.
“Don’t worry, we won’t drag this out,” Paloma said, immediately instructing the butler to book tickets and get the car ready.
Less than an hour after everything went down, they were already at the airport.
All the way there, Jonas kept Aiden–still knocked out–firmly in his grasp, making it clear he was a hostage.
Brian was there too, constantly shaking his head at the butler. “This stuff is seriously lethal–only the one who made it can fix him.”
The butler finally gave up, abandoning any plans to sneak in and rescue Aiden.
“Grab a few people and come with us,” Paloma said to the butler, her eyes glued to the rolling flight board at the airport, her heart pounding with anticipation.
Good thing she had that lace mask on, so long as her eyes played the part, no one would suspect a thing.
No one knew she’d always wanted to leave the Kyle family…
“Miss Kyle, are you going too?” the butler asked, looking troubled. “Mr. and Mrs. Kyle said you weren’t supposed to leave the estate…”
“If you’re the one leading the team, can you guarantee Aiden’s safety?” Paloma asked.
The butler replied, “I’ll do everything I can!”
“So you can’t guarantee it,” Paloma said, shaking her head. “He is the only heir to our family. If anything happens to him…”
The butler shuddered, not even wanting to think about the consequences.
The Kington Gang’s boss was as ruthless as any tyrant from the old days.
He more than deserved whatever fate had in store for him, but his family didn’t deserve to suffer for it.
The butler weighed it for a moment, then gave in. “You’re right, Miss Kyle! Ms. Edwards still has a bit of a soft spot for you.”
“I think so too,” Paloma nodded. “No time to waste–let’s go!”
“Yes!”
The group boarded the plane back to Lunova.
Then, the butler was completely stunned. “M–Mr. Zuckerberg?”
“It’s me,” Daniel replied. His men had already been waiting on the plane for quite some time.
There were even more of them than the Kyle family’s people.
The butler could only stare in disbelief.
They’d just leapt from one pit of fire straight into another. Was there any hope left for them?
“Don’t panic,” Paloma reassured hirn. “Once they’re safely back home, we’ll be safe too.”
The butler looked miserable. “Miss Kyle, maybe we should still tell Mr. and Mrs. Kyle. Maybe it’d be better to have some backup.”
“Fine, go ahead and call them,” Paloma said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
They were already on the plane. It’s not like her parents could do anything about it now.
No way they’d really shoot down the whole plane and not care if Aiden lived or died.
“Oh, and make sure they look after Landen.” Paloma added softly, dropping her gaze.
Everyone said Landen was her son, but she just couldn’t bring him back to Lunova with her.
She couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt in her heart…
Maybe, if she ever got her memories back one day, she’d come back for him herself.
As the plane took off, Paloma gazed out the window, watching the ground shrink away until all that was left was an endless stretch of blue sky.
Her heart was practically soaring with excitement.
Even the clouds in the distance looked like magical palaces floating up in the heavens.
“Amelia, you’re incredibly brave,” Daniel said, gripping Amelia’s hand tightly, his voice thick with emotion.
She really was a Zuckerberg family child–so much courage and smart, making him proud.
“Daniel, any news about Landon?” Amelia asked.
After the rush of excitement faded, a trace of melancholy appeared between Amelia’s/brows.
