To confine Catherine “better,” Joanna even renovated the Zuckerberg Estate.

“Daniel! Call the police, and have them arrest me,” Joanna shouted fiercely.
Daniel sneered, “For Kington Gang, springing someone from prison is child’s play.”

“Daniel, please let me go to Zuckerberg Estate and stay with my mom!” Maisie pleaded. “I promise I’ll keep a close eye on her.”
“Alright,” Daniel agreed.
Maisie rushed happily to Joanna, beaming. “Mom! From now on, we’ll live together.”
Joanna stared coldly at her daughter and thought, ‘Daniel thinks he can keep me locked up forever? Dream on!”
“Joanna, if you dare take a single step out of Zuckerberg Estate, I swear I’ll kill you right then and there.” Daniel fixed her with a cold, piercing glare, sharp as daggers.
Joanna locked eyes with Daniel in a tense standoff.
After a long standoff, she finally yielded, was sent to Zuckerberg Estate, and was guarded by men assigned by Daniel.
With things having come to a close, Edith cast one last glance at Daniel’s resolute profile before slipping away quietly.
A flash of pale green skirt caught Daniel’s eye. He turned his head around. “Edith!”
“Huh?” Edith stopped in her tracks, almost instinctively, fidgeting hervously. “Um, is there something else?” she stammered.
“Thank you,” Daniel said, stepping toward Edith.
Backlit, he moved with effortless grace, his silhouette exuding nobility.
For a moment, Edith felt dazzled, but she quickly composed herself, smiled, and said, “No need to thank me. It was my aunt’s fault from the start. We should have made amends much sooner.”
Daniel looked at her and asked, “So, what’s next for you?”
“I’ll go back to Pinecrest and continue teaching piano,” Edith said.
Daniel’s eye twitched as he took a deep breath. “Imean, the tattoo on your back…”
“I’ll get it removed,” Edith said firmly.
‘No way am I joining a gang! I only want to be myself,‘ Edith thought firmly.
“It’s no use washing it off. You’re already officially registered with the Kington Gang, so don’t put yourself through that pain for nothing,” Daniel said with a light chuckle.

Silly girl, the gang doesn’t rely on tattoos to identify its members, Daniel thought.
Edith didn’t have any special skills or value that the Kington Gang could use, so Daniel figured Joanna’s purpose was to protect Edith and position herself as the future hostess of the Zuckerberg family.
IfI don’t marry her, all of Joanna’s schemes will be pointless, Daniel thought.
“Oh, but I still want to get it removed,” Edith frowned. “I hate it. It feels like it’s soiling my soul.”

With that, Edith hurried away, not wanting to stay for one more second longer.
Daniel felt hollow inside. Even after her figure vanished from sight, the emptiness lingered.
With Joanna locked away, peace returned.
“Now, all that’s left is to wait for the police to uncover the truth about my mom’s death,” Amelia thought, feeling relieved.
“Yeah.” A flicker of concern crossed Landon’s eyes.
‘My legs have healed now. Guess it won’t be long before the higher–ups show up…‘ Landon thought, a hint of tension in his eyes. ‘I hope they’ll come later… Much later…‘
Beaming, Aaron reported, “Mrs. Kingsley, we’ve received a bid for the land in Stonefield, over three billion dollars.”
Landon stared at the calendar, stunned.
Three months had passed since they purchased the land in Stonefield.
‘Was Amelia a clairvoyant?‘ Landon wondered. ‘As she predicted, the land in Stonefield skyrocketed to over three billion dollars.‘
Aaron asked excitedly, “Mrs. Kingsley, should we continue with the sale?”
We made three billion dollars in three months. What a brilliant deal!‘ Aaron sighed inwardly. ‘Mrs. Kingsley’s business acumen is as sharp as Mr. Kingsley’s.’
“Who’s trying to buy the land?” Landon asked, frowning in suspicion.
‘Just recently, the highest bid was only 700 million dollars. Now, someone’s offering over three billion dollars? Who’s this sucker with more money than sense?‘ Landon wondered.
“Mr. Kingsley, the buyer is Merry Group,” Aaron replied.
Landon was shocked.
Merry Group was a global conglomerate specializing in large–scale real estate development and five–star hotels.
‘But Norava doesn’t have any major tourist attractions that would warrant investment from the Merry Group, Landon thought skeptically.
“Yes. Sell it,” Amelia said without hesitation.

Landon thought about it. Then, he turned to Amella and asked, “Honey, have you ever heard of the Merry Group?”
“No,” Amelia said, shaking her head.
At this time in her previous life, she had already married Zachary. She was living a miserable existence in Foster Villa, unloved by her husband, drilled her in–laws, with no mind to spare for the outside world.
All she knew was that Zachary poured the money into mining investments after he sold the land. Then, the Foster family’s capital kept compounding growing exponentially.
“Let’s sell it! Then invest in the mining project I mentioned earlier,” Amelia said decisively.
Hearing the new project, Aaron perked up with curiosity and asked, “Mrs. Kingsley, do you think we could make money from mining too?”
“Yeah. Let’s buy Yeatsmarsh Mountain at the border between Pinecrest and Norava. It contains abundant iron ore deposits,” Amelia said.
Landon looked at Amelia deeply. Then, he turned to Aaron and said, “Do as she says.”
“On it!” With that, Aaron left happily.
Aaron’s gut told him that Amelia had an impeccable eye for investments, and they were about to make a killing again.
Landon playfully pinched Amelia’s cheek and teased, “After making money from mine, what’s our next big venture?”
“I don’t know. That’s all I got,” Amelia shrugged.

“Honey, if you’ve got any golden opportunities, don’t keep them to yourself. Every penny we make is ours,” Landon said, studying her with a skeptical ye intrigued gaze.

“How did you find out about the mining project?” Landon asked.
“Zachary mentioned it to me, too,” Amelia said.
“Zachary again?” Landon asked, thinking it truly perplexing.
‘She’s so sure we’ll make a killing, just because Zachary mentioned it?‘ Landon couldn’t help but wonder.
Then, he thought, ‘Yeatsmarsh Mountain lies deep in the wilderness between Pinecrest and Norava, a remote area with a struggling economy and poor transportation links.
‘Even if there is iron ore, we’d have to build a proper road first just to get it out for sale. But carving a road through those mountains would cost a fortune
‘Without absolute certainty about the mountain’s abundant iron ore deposits, people wouldn’t dare make such a reckless investment.
‘But judging by Amelia’s attitude, she was convinced this venture would turn a profit.
‘It’s just like when she was sure the land in Stonefield would skyrocket to billions of dollars.
‘It isn’t about business acumen anymore. It’s solid insider information. The Foster family must have connections everywhere.’
