“Here you are.” Landon produced a photo of Catherine who looked bright and elegant with wise eyes. Amelia felt familiar and a bit weird.
“Who is she?” Amelia’s heart pounded with apprehension. By instinct, Amelia felt that the woman in the photo was connected with her. She didn’t know why she became nervous all of a sudden.
Landon said quietly, “She’s Daniel’s biological mother, Catherine Hughes.”
“Oh…“Amelia let out a sigh of relief. “Thank goodness she has nothing to do with me,” she thought.
